It's also incredibly corrupt. For decades foreign aid has been going into the hands of despots and dictators and little of it actually making it to the people for whom it's been intended. Additionally, it's making countries dependent on us instead of fixing their own problems.

At the end of the day, it's not our job to feed the world. We have private charities for that. We are a country with $35 Trillion in debt right now. We cannot afford to continue doing this. I'm in favor of ending 100% of foreign aid.

While I do not wish to debate the merits of your statement, I would note that these are congressionally legislated and funded programs, yes? If so, they cannot be unilaterally ended by the Executive.

That's where you're wrong. The NGO money is not accounted for money. That's how the deep state government got around all those pesky laws that were supposed to prevent them from violating the COTUS.

So that money can be taken right back and the NGO's defunded in a heartbeat.

Which is what's happening.
