No...they can't. We have been INFLATED---prices soaring for everything--nothing will ever go back fully down. And worse with gas, when the price does go down a bit--politicians are going to see it as an opportunity to raise taxes on gas to soak more tax revenue off the gas price increase.

At this point it is about mediating how bad things are. The longer the price stays up, the higher it will stay even after things cool off a bit.

We can not escape the long term damage done at this point and there is still more to come.

Hey Thanks for that info! I was assuming wrongly amount of oil in reserves.
Consequently revising my table:
Using 264 billion recoverable reserves that would be 82 years if consumption continues at 8.8 million per day in the USA.

That's what makes this so infuriating. If govt got out of the way & let us b!+ch slap the greenies back to Mom's basement, we could be booming with energy & goods. Inflation would reverse
