However, it serves US interests to aid Ukraine is its resistance to the Russian invasion since Putin's goal is to recapture the former soviet states and all of those after Ukraine are in NATO. If Putin were to conquer Ukraine he would next begin making up bs reasons to invade weaker NATO states and the US would be facing a potential war with Russia. As long as the Ukrainias are able to fight the Russians to a stalemate or even drive them back, that situation will not arise.

Our kids are not fighting in Ukraine. We are throwing weapons in so Russia feels pain as payback to the times that asshole did it to us. Making him feel pain with loses shows him that attacking NATO would be suicide and grabbing land will cost him dearly.
