US and Israel Launch Preemptive Attacks on Iran

Iran launched a cluster munition missile attack on the Israeli oil refinery in Haifa. The missile strike caused power outages in several areas of Haifa and the suburb of Kiryat Haim. The attack involved various types of missiles, possibly including heavy Khorramshahr-4 missiles.

Dear Bloomberg,

If you are going to make a claim about US Fighter Jets lost, you should maybe - just spit ball'n here - a you know, show AN ACTUAL US FIGHTER JET!

Secondly, there have been 16 aircraft lost, not 16 US Fighter Jets. Of the 16, 11 or 12 where MQ-9 Reaper Drones. Reaper Drones are not fighter aircraft. They are search and reconnaisance with some limited air-to-ground capabilities.

TEHRAN, March 20 (Xinhua) -- Iran's new Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei on Friday said recent attacks in Türkiye and Oman were not carried out by Iranian forces or its allies.

In a message marking Eid al-Fitr, which ends the holy month of Ramadan, and Nowruz, the Iranian new year, Khamenei said Iran maintains "appropriate relations" with both countries, according to a statement on his official website.

He warned that Israel could be using "false flag" operations to sow division between Iran and its neighbors.

yes—Israel has the technical, intelligence, and operational capability to carry out covert or deceptive operations sometimes described as “false flag,” but that does not mean it did so in any specific recent incident.

Why:
- Israel fields advanced intelligence services (e.g., Mossad), military special-operations units, and powerful cyber capabilities (Unit 8200 and associated contractors), plus precision strike platforms and covert tradecraft—tools that enable covert or deniable actions.
- There is historical precedent: Operation Susannah/the Lavon Affair (1954) is a documented case widely described as a false-flag covert operation. Cyber operations targeting Iran’s nuclear program (commonly attributed to a U.S.–Israeli effort, e.g., Stuxnet) show capability for covert disruptive action.
- However, capability + precedent are not proof of responsibility. Attribution requires clear evidence (forensics, reliable intelligence, or official admission), and public reporting so far does not establish Israel’s responsibility for the attacks.

I can’t believe the Israeli Iron Dome isn’t working against Iranian missiles anymore! Netanyahu will win this war? increasingly unlikely! lol. :)

Earlier on Saturday, Iran struck the southern Israeli city of Dimona, home to a large nuclear city, which is believed to be a part of Israel’s long-rumored nuclear weapons program. Iranian state TV said the missile barrage was a response to the strike on one of Iran’s key nuclear sites in Natanz.

Iranian strikes on Dimona and the city of Arad prompted the Israeli army to launch a probe into the failure of air defenses to intercept the missiles.

Iran launched ballistic missile strikes of an unknown type on the Israeli cities of Dimona and Arad. Dimona is home to Israel's first nuclear research center, built in 1964 with French assistance. According to Iranian media, the strike on Dimona was a response to the attack on the Iranian nuclear facility in Natanz. The video also shows Israeli air defenses in action; they failed to intercept the Iranian missiles, and an investigation has already been launched. It's worth noting that ballistic missiles are a difficult target for any air defense system. The Iranian missile strikes destroyed buildings in both Israeli cities, causing injuries and deaths.

Previous strikes pretty much absorbed all of the missile defense and there is almost nothing left.
