That they will embrace Trump and the conservative govt in place at this time. Of course not. And in their mind this govt is facist, evil, Nazi, and ruled by a Hitler. Do you think the lefts mind is going to change? Of course not. Meaning this will continue and eventually result in a real civil war. Unless something is done to prevent it. I saw a video post from the guy who was talking with Kirk when he was shot - a strident liberal opposed to Kirk's politics. And he was nearly in tears, gobsmacked at the reality that this meme highlights. "I was trying to point out how liberals are peaceful and don't resort to violence ....".

The divide is a manufactured product to serve the interests of the media, the vested parties and foreign adversaries.

For the media, it's entertainment, ratings, clicks ....
For the parties, it's fear - lesser-of-two-evils works best when you can convince people that the "other side" is actually evil.
For foreign adversaries, it's obvious. They're smiling as we tear apart our own country, without them lifting a finger.

Those things which divide this country are too great to allow for compromise. The divide is unbridgeable. No bridge can be built to unite. Unite is impossible. The left knows it, but the right keeps up this false hope that it can happen. It can't.

This division is not going away. It's not going to be talked away through dialogue, and debate. It's only going to be settled in war. Or, through some sort of 'secession'. Where the sides can live in an area where only those in agreement with them are allowed.

Some will say that is funny. But is it funny the direction the country is going? The divide exists already. There is no healing it. Until we recognize that, we are just drifting towards total destruction.
