I really don't. I was discussing the principle of "live and let live" with Quantrill. He pointed out that leftists don't practice it, and I agreed. I asked if the right does, and he didn't answer. Those things which divide this country are too great to allow for compromise. The divide is unbridgeable. No bridge can be built to unite. Unite is impossible. The left knows it, but the right keeps up this false hope that it can happen. It can't.

This division is not going away. It's not going to be talked away through dialogue, and debate. It's only going to be settled in war. Or, through some sort of 'secession'. Where the sides can live in an area where only those in agreement with them are allowed.

Some will say that is funny. But is it funny the direction the country is going? The divide exists already. There is no healing it. Until we recognize that, we are just drifting towards total destruction.
