Unexplained Murder in Lompoc

Jordan Savard was shot in front of his house. He worked at the Sprouts store on S. Milpas St. in Santa Barbara. I talked to him quite often as we both have similar interests. So sad to hear about his horrific death. So far there is no information regarding why he was shot to death.

"A suspect is under arrest in connection with a deadly shooting Monday in Lompoc.
Police say Daniel Birdsell, 21, was arrested in San Diego County on Tuesday.
He was reportedly transported back to Santa Barbara County and booked at the Lompoc Police Department on a charge of murder for the death of Jordan Savard, 34."

Why would they specifically note that? Is there a lot of gang activity in Santa Barbara County?

For it's size Lompoc has it's share so I would say yes.
