I work for one of the largest mechanical contractors in the country it's in the top ten, I just don't see any improvement in jobs. as a matter of fact the company had over 1800 field employees now we're down to less than half that.

Discouraged workers went from 815,000 to 762,000 (there are millions not looking, but only discouraged "gave up")

Millions under employed - working at jobs they are over qualified for.

There's no way to measure that.

Millions having their hours cut to under 30 to avoid NaziCare.

The number of people working part time because their hours have been cut dropped 178,000 (to 4.9 million)

And they avoid the huge numbers for young blacks and vets.

Black unemployment dropped from 13.1% to 12.5% Veterans UE rate dropped from 6.9% to 6.7%

I am not saying it has not improved whatsoever...I also know - you know - I am not saying that. That is the problem when you are not an idiot. Idiots get dismissed easily, you are not one. You are just posting this to stir the pot.
It is not 7.2% and you know it.
And never mind unemployment. Underemployment is a bigger problem. It is at pandemic levels and no one even talks about it. Hell you make threads about it.
As well as the Part-Time to Full-Time ratio - horrible. As well as hour cuts across the entire service industry.
This unemployment number is almost meaningless.

Here's the rub. The UE number when high was all Obama's fault, at least in the words written by highly partisan members who also like to rewrite history and blame Obama for the Recession of 2007 to 2009. It's the height of hypocrisy to downplay lower numbers, and it has the effect of to alter consumer confidence. Whether intentional or not it surely slows the recovery and impacts negatively those still struggling.

Has the job market finally hit its stride? Hiring continued at a solid pace in November, and the unemployment rate fell for the right reasons.
The U.S. economy added 203,000 jobs in November. Economists surveyed by CNNMoney had predicted payroll gains of 183,000 jobs.

The unemployment rate fell to 7.0% -- the lowest level since November 2008, as more people said they got jobs and joined the labor force.

This is encouraging news for the 11 million Americans who remain unemployed. The job market has been improving for three years now, but at a frustratingly slow pace.

I am still working on 100% unemployment, but my wife won't let me.

The recent UE numbers are likely manipulated.

On Nov. 19, I broke the news in my column that the Census Bureau, which collects data that goes into the jobless rate on behalf of Labor, had caught one of its enumerators fabricating interviews in 2010.

The culprit said back then (and to me during an interview) that he was told to do so by Census supervisors who were in the position to instruct others to make similar fabrications.

In fact, a source who I haven’t named but who is familiar with the Census data accumulation process has told me that falsifications have been occurring on a regular basis.

Let's get the facts straight: President Obama said, "if you like your plan, you can keep it"; insurance companies took them away. Obama didn't nor did the government.

Now you may argue the law required them to do so, but the PPACA became law in 2010. The Insurance Industry had months and months to inform customers of the changes and offer new products which complied with the new law. Yes, the costs would have risen, but the cost of health insurance has been rising for decades, and the benefits have remained the same or have been reduced.

The product today, as a result of the PPACA, is better - few have argued it is not - and the health industry in our nation has needed reform since the administration of TR, only those who profit by it have argued differently,

Yet their arguments are all specious, not based on the care and costs but on talking points like the one you posted and suggestions that 'crap' policies should be allowed. If they are allowed then we will see a continuation of the taxpayer subsidizing the insurance industry and providing the owner of the 'crap' policy welfare in terms of care provided by the ER at public hospitals.
