Pretty well actually...the M4 is much more accurate than the AK and police body armor is superior to what most ragheads can find......and better tactical training of course.

That depends on ROE and issued equipment. Many officers are now carrying carbines or semi-auto rifles in their cruisers insted of shotguns. Those officers, and officers with effective training/ROE would likely do pretty well.

If they had a stand off, you'd be right....but walking into a active event? Hah.

Not at all. But I remember at least one case in the past few decades where bank robbers with AK 47s completely outclassed cops on the street. So....with the obviously made point that that cop was unarmed and killed.....what is it that shows that if he'd had your typical cop side-arm he would have fared any better?

That was in LA and yes, the cops then only carried a sidearm and a shotgun in the car....now they all have an M-16 or M4 in the trunk and all wear body armor.
