I too am astonished, absolutely dismayed. As a long time watcher of geopolitics and a critic of western war games, I am simply blown away by how trump is single handedly crippling the United States.

I disagree, NATO was the strategic means used by the US to threaten Russia and potentially fragment it one day as it did Yugoslavia. That's what defeat of Russia actually means, it's break up into conflicting states each seeking some kind of independence, that's the ideal outcome that US strategists have had for decades, divide and conquer.
