Ukraine Is Already Paying Us Back

Let's not get sucked into Putin's morass of lies about this war being between Russia and NATO or between Russia and the US. NATO is not fighting this war nor is it providing any material support to Ukraine's warm effort. Many NATO member states on their own initiative are supporting Ukraine, but the war is strictly between Russia and Ukraine.

The Russian invasion of Ukraine along with its violations of nuclear treaties, its heavy investment in deploying hypersonic missiles to try to gain an edge in a nuclear war, its frequent threats to use nuclear weapons not only in Ukraine but against the UK and Germany. its demands that NATO withdraw from eastern Europe makes it clear that Russia is a clear and present danger to Europe and the US and that no diplomatic end of this war will bring a lasting peace. As a result, support for Ukraine continues to grow stronger and is in no danger of slackening off in the foreseeable future.
This ridiculous war is entirely about NATO's Eastward expansion and it's non acceptance by Russia. It is only after all diplomatic efforts by Putin had failed (including several attempts since 2008 taking control of Ukraine's government) that he decided to solve it by military means. At first very successfully in regards to occupying/retaking Crimea in a more or less overnight strike. Then taking advantage of Ukraine's suppressive methods in Donbas and Luhansk he successfully stirred the existing unrest right down to a self-proclamation by these two provinces to be independent territories from Ukraine.

Ukraine naturally wasn't willing to give up on it's "lost" territories and continued it's path towards NATO membership and to prepare for a war to retake those lost territories - being absolutely supported and inspired to do so by NATO. Selensky's election victory made NATO believe that everything was running now perfectly towards their aspired goal. So Putin again decided to make use of military force.

Just to solely blame Putin for this present war - doesn't hit the mark/truth at all.

The USA had attacked Iraq in 2003 proclaiming that they need to rid the world of a country/government that possessed WMD's endangering/threatening the USA and the world. (which we all know was just a lie). Did this illegal aggressive war-action result into any worldwide instituted embargo onto the USA? nope they got away Scott-free. And this has been realized by countries all over the world - especially by countries that are not politically depended onto the USA and NATO - such as Russia, China, North-Korea, Brazil, India, South-Africa and many others.

Putin attacked Ukraine since they are posing a threat, endangering Russia's political, military and economic safety and interests - especially/foremost in hindsight of becoming a NATO member. (and that is not a lie) - but it is clearly the case.

No doubt in my opinion that Putin dreams and desires a Russia, that possesses the power and influence towards it's neighbors of the long gone Czarist Russian empire. And that is something the USA and NATO are objecting to - and trying to make sure with their means at their disposal that this won't happen. Naturally a war in regards to Ukraine was inevitable. The major problem that NATO is facing now is that they where extremely ill prepared for that war - and still are, since Ukraine can't win this war without direct involvement from NATO.

Taiwan is about to become another Ukraine dilemma if the USA and it's allies pursue their present cause/agenda - so in the present world of agitation and inciting unrest, Ukraine is just the tip of an iceberg. and the world we live in, is the Titanic. So let's steam ahead full speed - right? after all the blue ribbon (aka democracy) is at stake. And if the worst should happen there is always a single person (aka the captain) to blame in order to make the masses feel content.

Why do you keep making him madder, dmitri?

This is one of my fears....

Russia is going broke. It needs a win and winning back Poland and other nations to pay for this very expensive war. That means a coalition of nuclear powered nations like Pakistan and Iran. Together, if they surprise attacked the USA they could make NATO fall like a house of cards and even take all of Germany and Denmark....thereby getting India as well by proxy. Because if Russia controls the major shipping ports...they own Europe.

Russian sympathizers/friends are dotted all across Africa, Asia, South America and the Middle East.

Venezuela isn't going to cry...neither is Pakistan.

And if the USA falls....NATO won't survive long enough except to surrender.

Again, there is no such thing as a surprise large scale nuclear attack and nations that attacked NATO with nukes, would be in turn destroyed by NATO nukes.

Bakhmut devastated .

Last Ukey line shattered and Russia will now head off to Odessa

⚡🇷🇺🇺🇦💡 RF Armed Forces massive Missile Strike on Infrastructure in #Ukraine on 10 Feb 2023 - what is known by 15:00⚡

💥 The RF Armed Forces have struck critical infrastructure sites in #Ukraine.
During the night, Geran-2 drones were predominantly used. Air defence position areas were opened and several critical infrastructure facilities in the south and east of #Ukraine were hit.
In the morning, the Russian Aerospace Forces launched a series of missile strikes against targets across the country.
🔹 What is known by this hour?
▪️ #Kharkov: overnight 👉 strikes hit the engine room of CHP-5 in the south-west of the city.
➖ In the morning, strikes on enemy facilities in #Kharkov continued, with local authorities reporting power outages in several districts of the city and region.
➖ There were reports of delays in the underground and problems with the internet in the city.
▪️ #Zaporozhye: the target of the 👉 strike was the 1st engine room of the #Dnieper hydroelectric power plant.
➖ The hall has relatively low capacity and old equipment. The likelihood that the damage caused would disrupt the operation of the entire plant is extremely low.
➖ One of the fired shells hit a nearby outbuilding.
➖ Some parts of the city are experiencing power and internet problems.
▪️ #Dnepropetrovsk region: A missile 👉 hit the engine room of the Krivoy Rog TPP near #Zelenodolsk, destroying at least one turbine and damaging steam lines.
➖ One of the generators stopped generating power and was permanently disabled.
▪️ #Khmelnytsky region: several energy infrastructure facilities in Khmelnytsky and Shepetovsky district were hit, with electricity and internet problems observed in the oblast.
▪️ Ivano-Frankovsk region: According to preliminary data, the Burshtyn Thermal Power Plant could have been targeted again - the plant stopped generating power during the massive strikes.
➖ At the same time, the facility's capacity decreased slowly - suggesting that Ukrainian power engineers may have deliberately shut it down before the attack.
▪️ #Kiev and the region: In #Kiev, CHPP-5 and several other targets in other parts of the city were hit. Local authorities reported power grid damage.
▪️ Several strikes are known to have occurred in the #Odessa region. According to local sources, the #Usatovo 330 substation caught fire.
▪️ The RF Armed Forces also struck unspecified facilities in #Kherson region, near #Kremenchuk, #Kramatorsk and #Vinnitsa.
▪️In #Zhytomyr, #Kirovograd, #Nikolayev and #Lvov regions, air defence assets were triggered.
➖ Shortly before the missile attack, authorities conducted preventive power cuts in some regions of the country.
▪️ Following the strikes, Ukrainian Railways reported train delays on the #Kharkov, #Kiev and #Kramatorsk routes.
▪️ #Moldova said that Russian missiles allegedly entered the country's airspace and flew over #Transnistria as well as the #Soroca region bordering #Ukraine.
➖ The republic's Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned the Russian ambassador.
📌 Today's wave of strikes hit more targets than the previous one. It cannot but be gratifying that this time machine rooms were chosen as targets rather than autotransformers, as had been the case previously.
Accurate hits on equipment in turbine halls guarantee extremely long-lasting repairs to facilities, and consequently a dramatic drop in power generation at stations.

Not necessarily. An EMP could do immense damage. NATO is a loose alliance and confused. Take away the US and theyre just a bunch of scared neutralized countries.
At its worst, an emp would fry electronics within an area of a few miles, making it a local event that would have no significant impact on world events.

No, the fallout extends for hundreds and thousands of miles. They are detonated in the atmosphere not a localized area. Setting off a nuclear weapon about 200 miles above the U.S. would cover most of North America
You're watching too many bad movies. At 200 miles not even the nuclear fallout would reach the Earth, and there would be no emp effect.

I wish that were the case but unfortunately its not.

:
An EMP attack would destroy the electronics and digital circuitry
in the area of impact, denying electric power to our homes, businesses,
and military. Our country is dependent on electricity to power our
health, financial, transportation, and business systems. If our power
system was ever lost for an extended period, according to Dr. William
Graham the chairman of the EMP Commission, it would have catastrophic
and lethal consequences for our citizens and the economy. It would also
degrade our military defenses. America's digital dependence grows every
year and along with that dependence, our EMP vulnerability.
Computer simulations carried out in March 2010 by Oak Ridge
National Laboratories demonstrated that an electromagnetic pulse from a
nuclear device detonated at high attitude or a powerful solar storm
could destroy or permanently damage major sections of our National
power grid. According to this Oak Ridge Study, the collapse of our
power system could impact 130 million Americans, require 4 to 10 years
to fully recover and impose economic costs of $1 to $2 trillion.

My opinion is most conflict on this rock has always has some underlying economic motivation John.....~S~
Well....you aren't exactly on the wrong page there.

Russia desperately needs to sell nat gas and petroleum to fund its government. Nordstream 1 was about 40% of Moscow's budget. Nordstream 2 would have doubled its revenues.
(There's a reason why the US destroyed 2)

The USA has been making lots of profits over selling nat gas to Europe by ship....especially without another pipeline going across Ukraine from Russia. (The existing pipeline was destroyed in the early days of the war)

Large improvements have recently been made in the gulf coast area in Texas/Louisiana border area to assist in loading ships with liquefied nat gas without any interference from Biden's administration....except to raise fees for their land leases and use. (Duh)

In addition....the vice minister of defense is an oligarch recently dismissed from his post for corruption as well as the CEO of Burisma....the oil company that once employed Hunter Biden.
