Not sure about your seriousness in cases spoken of, but I've got people dying or dead that I know recently. Two second cousins, and one old friend around the New Year's time period. Just heard of another friend getting COVID, so I'm not sure what strain's they have or they may have had, but it hasn't been good this round or uptick. Plenty of people (like you say), yes are getting sick either vaxed or unvaxed, and not all are ending up dead, in fact most all are recovering well. It seems that it's picking on the elderly still, at least in the cases I know of when it comes to killing people as a thing in which adds to their comorbidities in life. Doesn't hurt to mask up in time of need (not sure if it really helps), but if it does then it is a good thing if it does. Not for mandates though, because we have enough sense to protect ourselves as best we can, and so I am in favor of therapeutics being constantly explored and offered up for anyone that contract's the viruses whether vaxed or unvaxed in the after infected scenario. The shot is a form of a therapeutic also, otherwise that is supposed to pre-charge the system against it, but depending on the system, it has shown to not protect completely or in some cases not at all, so it should be aided by all other viable options (not necessarily more shot's always), but other therapeutics that are available if needed in order to match the patient being dealt with. So if a shot doesn't work, then there should be options.

Otherwise how on earth did the flu and cold medications ilse's at the Walgreens or CVS's get as long as they are, and full of medications for fighting cold and flu ?? It's because the free market work's. How many times have we heard people recommend what works for them when they purchase a medication, but it didn't work for us ? So what do we do ? We find and buy what works for us.

Otherwise this one size fits all has been a disaster because people's systems aren't the same, and every doctor who had ever dealt with his diverse patient load knows this fact, but the government is going to save us all. Hallelujah.... lol

In the last month both my sons, both DILs and all of my grandchildren in addition to several friends have tested positive for COVID but none had anything serious. Some of them vaccinated and some not.

Same here. Had Omicron and suffered a bad head for the day and then cold symptoms for a few days, then that was it. Both my sons and their girlfriends had COVID. I know vaccinated and unvaccinated get COVID but the only one I know who died of COVID was the father of a friend.

Yes I know you take it serious, otherwise I wasn't implying that you didn't. It's just that it's not serious in most cases, and in some sadly it is serious. It's got to be.... I remember once upon a time where as the city created a farmers market that it backed and supported, so what did it do next ? It created or enforced super strict laws on roadside community stands and vegetable truck's bringing fresh produce to the citizen's doorsteps, otherwise in order to shut that down in favor of driving all business to the local centralized farmers market it had created.

I know and saw first hand how government can work like this, and the people need to wake the heck up.

Maybe mask don't work, but I sure do use one if feel uncomfortable about getting around a bunch of people or a sick grandchild. I'm not a mask fanatic, and don't believe in mandates, but I try to exercise caution right now. Don't expect anyone to wear a mask around me, and would never advocate for anyone to do anything to make me feel safer, because it is my responsibility to keep myself safe, not theirs.

Yep they were vaxed. Very old though. Complications in a combination of issues.
