No, “they” weren’t doing their part. We were doing the heavy lifting, as usual. What difference does it make if they were/are our allies or not? Why didn’t they and Biden come up with this idea to stop the war until now, when Trump has halted funding? It is because they won’t/can’t pick up the slack if the US bows out and they are desperate. Much like good little Democrats(children) in this country, they were fine with it as long as someone else was picking up the majority of the tab and the majority of the responsibility.

Bottom line is that Zelensky will sign a deal with Trump and Trump will negotiate a deal to stop the war. He could just stick with it and run with the EU plan, but he won’t because he isn’t that stupid. Democrats and lefty loons in Europe will complain that the deal was better for Russia and will blame Trump for getting a peace deal vs continuing to fight and spend $$$ and lives in an un-winnable war unless we are ready to put troops on the ground and start WWIII.
