U.S. facilities in S.Africa closed over threat

JOHANNESBURG, Sept 22 (Reuters) - All U.S. government facilities in South Africa were closed on Tuesday over an undisclosed security threat, a U.S. embassy spokeswoman said.
U.S. embassy spokeswoman Sharon Hudson-Dean said the decision to close the facilities, including the embassy in the South African capital Pretoria, was taken after information was received from the regional security office. She did not give further details.
