What does voter id have to do with how the actual vote is cast , that is with anonymity to ensure independence of votes cast by voters ?

Some individuals have multiple places of residence , and some individuals might change residence often , so a means is required to determine whether a voter is registered to vote in more than one location and apply the likely limit of a single vote .

Individuals are enrolled to vote at the dmv , where real id is being issued to fly and record immigration status .

Of current concern with enrollment to vote at the dmv is that the dmv may not be enforcing an exclusion where only us citizens can register to vote .

The simple facts are that an independence of the vote cannot be established because there is a lack of anonymity , therefore mail in voting cannot be a standard for voting , whereas in person identification and anonymity through isolation does ensure independence of the vote .

A two weeks maximum for in person voting would eliminate a presumption for mail in voting and also ensures that independence of the vote is assured through a sufficient level of anonymity .

According to 14th amendment of us constitution , individuals are citizens of the united states ( federal citizenship ) and of the state in which they reside ( state citizenship ) .

A social security card and birth certificate are required for federal citizenship , and individuals are allowed to have a drivers license in only one state at a time and the same policy would apply to a real-id , which is sufficient as personal identification when tracking voter eligibility in an election .

In my opinion , the ability to vote at some other time than " election day " , but within a window that is reasonable , is functional for those who have very committed schedules .

Mail in voting needs to go away , completely , and in person verification of voters is essential to ensure that dead people do not vote , that voter harvesting does not occur , that fake ballots are not created , that voter impersonation does not occur , that ballot stuffing does not occur , and that a voters are not registered to vote in multiple states .

Only those who vote in primary elections should be allowed to vote in runoff elections .

While impersonation of voters , or voter harvesting , or voter intimidation , or voter bribery , are all methods for compromising independence of the vote , each individual vote must be anonymous to ensure independence of the vote for voting to be valid , and that requires in person voting .

In addition , in person voting requires a more extensive availability than a single day for casting votes in order to accommodate the active commitments of voter schedules , and especially when voting is hindered .
