Interesting piece here: America Is Growing Apart, Possibly for Good

Go ahead and point the finger at the other tribe, but can we all at least agree that the phrase E Pluribus Unum no longer applies to America?

And second question, to the Republicans: You've often mentioned here that you'd like to geographically separate from those with whom you disagree. We appear to be seeing just that, as states divide themselves by intensity of religious belief and ideological dogma. Do you feel victorious about that? Vindicated?

Bonus question: Can we agree that America is no longer "exceptional"?

I do not agree. The problem is the government is not set-up to handle the sophisticated expectations of the tremendously more diverse society the nation has evolved to.

Do you want to say everything is a mess, and continue on with the subsisting government???

The first generation of the American Experiment has probably expired its trial parameters, and the over-run is probably repeating and compounding errors in the processing of social issues; subsequently, adversely affecting the approach to the Experiment's hypothetical and established expectations.

Even if you believe the prediction of that article - what's going to happen? Both sides are going to build new government based on the same experiment model???

Wake up! The problem is the government is not designed correctly.

Multiculturalism / diversity has destroyed us….we’re just too different with too little in common.
Time to segregate to save the union.

The wonderful thing about woke abortion loving socialism is that the only way it works is if it crushes and subdues all other forms of government because it is just so wonderful that it must be mandatory for all.

If America tries to divide, the socialists will just send in the troops like Lincoln did.

Or we could go back to how the government was established with the states running their own affairs and the federal government playing referee instead of running with the ball by surrendering all it's collective control over us all as it has usurped Federalism over the years, but that is just crazy talk.

But we all know how this ends, they will try and crush their opponents. If their continued effort of their reeducation camps, known as public education, and the media cannot convert enough of them fast enough they may need to turn to another pandemic, or start a war somewhere like Putin to send his political rivals in surrounding regions of this empire that trouble him to their collective deaths in the army.

It is as long as the voters keep voting for the duopoly.
As I said, we all know how this ends.

In terms of voting, the only real hope is the Artice V movement, to have states amend the Constitution for the first time to take power back. This means to get this done, we need votes at the local government level, that is, state representatives to vote for it.

Right now they have had about half the states that have voted for it for them to get the job done.

I give it a 0.0000000000000000000000000000000000000000001% chance, but at least it is a chance.

LOL.

2 key amendments could be term limits for Congress and a balanced budget for Congress. These two amendments are supported by well over half the country but will never see the light of day because Congress will never diminish their own power.

But that is the issue, centralized power. Party affiliation has nothing to do with it. Change parties all day and you still have the same problem

The young workforce still makes it exceptional.
Each individual person has the option of trying to be exceptional in whatever they seek to do

For example, democrats are doing an exceptional job of destroying the racist country they hate and now have power over.

Cuz social justice.

Of course, I am lying.

Just vote for Trump again and it will solve all our problems.

We already have term limits on Congress and you damn well know it. They are called elections. You don't get to decide my Congressional reps and I don't mess with yours.

A balanced budget every year would kill the economy. Lots of people make money off the national debt.

1. No

2. BS question based on false narrative

I think our unwillingness to fix our political system could be the largest driver of this demise.

The system rewards the zealots. What do we expect them to do?
I say just keep on keep'in on mac

Extremist zealots like myself have problems with complete Executive power over every aspect of our lives. Everything from what doctor we see to having drag queens come in and educate our children in kindergarten.

Running up a massive debt that is the largest in human history is also a problem for extremists like myself, or how about treating illegal immigrants better than your own citizens?

There is only one way to deal with people like me, just crush them like a zit by waiting for the next protest and blowing it out of proportion

Only this time, I get to wear the Viking hat.

For the most part, it isn't wholly dead. But sick and bedridden.
And this was done by design. And you cannot get people to recognize or acknowledge that fact.

It's all a farse. Once put in office, or as I call it the Orifice, there is a myriad of ways to secure power.

That is why Congress has had an approval rating under 20% for decades now as they all keep getting reelected anyway. That is our democracy?

Add to that the fact that anytime I so much as see a picture of Nancy Pelosi or Chuck U Schumer or Lindsey Graham, my blood pressure increases by at least 10 points.

They just sit around slinging poo at each other all day showing the world how corrupt they all are and how all of them should be impeached. Meanwhile, nothing is ever done except Star Chamber public trials where you can't defend yourself.

Yeah, multiculturalism is cultural marxism and it's the marxists that are the problem. too many comfortable rich white kids think they should be running the show and they never get punished for their deeds.
