CDZ Two options...the European model of self defense, and the American model of Self defensse.

We kill lots of people. They don't kill nearly a many. We should do what they are doing.

Societal. political and socioeconomic differences have nothing to do with guns.

We know where the vast majority of murders take place and we choose not to do anything about it.

Our murder rate is in now way homogeneous across the country. In fact there are only a handful of urban areas that skew the numbers for the entire country and even in those areas murders are highly concentrated into very well defined areas so much that an area of a few city blocks can have a murder rate of 5 times the national rate or even higher while the same size area half a mile away has a murder rate near zero.

We know where these murder hot spots are and we do nothing about it because it's mostly young urban minorities killing other young urban minorities and we really don't give a shit.

Obviously you don't know shit. The facts do not support your claims at all. Further they have been debunked several times in the past. So your ignorance is purposeful and probably deceitful.
So tell me you don't believe a crook would buy a gun from an individual seller if there s no obligation for the seller to even care if the purchaser is a crook.

The individual seller is the straw buyer or the criminal who stole the gun......

Considering this isn't the topic of the thread, your refusal to discuss the actual thread is nothing more than your attempt to get the thread closed.......

This is the truth.....and the truth is something bulldog and the other anti-gun extremists can't beat with emotion or lies......but they will try their best since it is all they have.....

Very few criminals buy firearms legally, they do not use the paper or the local flea market. That is a red herring and the only reason the left brings it up is to try and backdoor registration since with out registration it can not be enforced.

Yep....they want gun registration...they know that the countries that registered guns were able to ban and confiscate them later. Universal Background Checks get them gun registration.......they don't care about criminals, they want the guns that normal people own. Those guns are the guns they can't get their hands on because normal people don't use them for crime.....it drives them nuts just thinking they can't take those guns...

After more than 350 posts, I doubt you need to worry much about it getting prematurely closed.

No matter how he acquired the gun, the individual seller has no legal obligation to even ask the buyer's name. He certainly has no legal obligation to find out if the buyer can legally own a gun.

How do you know that?

Again....criminals don't worry about background checks since they get their guns illegally...

The individual sellers are straw buyers.....people who buy the gun by lying on the mandatory, federal background check form, and who then go on to pass any background check to buy the gun.....they then take the gun and give or sell it to the criminal.

Then you have the other individual sellers, the ones who break into private homes, cars and gun stores and steal the guns.....not going through any background check when they give or sell the guns to other criminals.

That is how criminals get their guns.....we can already arrest any criminal captured with an a gun since, as criminals, they can't buy, own or carry guns...

Our problem isn't catching criminals who have illegal guns...that has never been the problem...we catch them over and over again...

The problem is you and the democrat party...you keep releasing violent, known, repeat gun offenders no matter how many times we catch them possessing and even using illegal guns.

You want to focus on background checks because you want to register guns.......you don't care about actually stopping gun crime. It drives you nuts that there are 600 million guns in private hands that you can't confiscate.....because their owners do not use them for any crime......but you desperately want universal background checks because then you can come back and demand gun registration.....

Which is meaningless because you keep releasing the criminals who are the ones doing all of the gun crime....

Of course they don't worry about background checks, because individual sellers have no obligation to have them run. You are almost there. Keep trying. I know this isn't too complicated for your little gun nut brain to handle.

They don't worry about background checks because they are selling or giving guns to criminals...which is already against the law.

Straw buyers are individual sellers who pass any background check, then give or sell the gun to criminals.....already a crime.

Criminals are individual sellers who break into homes, cars and gun stores and give or sell guns to other criminals...

Background checks don't stop them....

But it's not against the law for the seller if he doesn't already know the buyer can't have a gun. That's the point. That's what you are working so hard to protect. Background checks just like we have for licensed gun dealers would keep lots of guns out of crook's hands.

It isn't the point since that isn't where criminals get guns......they don't buy from private sellers.....they buy from straw buyers and other criminals....

And, again, once you catch the criminal with the illegal gun, they can be arrested.

The problem is you guys let them go....over and over again....

And again.....when offered a background check option that did not require gun registration, you didn't support it....

This has nothing to do with background checks, and everything to do with registering guns.

Yes, they do buy from private sellers. Perhaps some of those private sellers are also straw buyers, but many of them are not. Just because you don't want to believe crooks buying a gun without a background check doesn't happen doesn't make it so, dumb ass.

You don't know what you are talking about.........

straw buyers......

Stealing guns.....

neither one obeys the law on background checks.

For about the millionth time, How the seller acquired the gun is a seperate matter. He is under no legal obliation to find out if the buyer can legally own a gun.

No....it isn't.......

You want universal background checks so you can get gun registration....you don't care about actual gun criminals. You want to be able to confiscate guns and you need gun registration to know where those guns are.

The individual who is a straw buyer is knowingly breaking the law...they are the biggest suppliers to criminals, and they don't do background checks because they know the person they are selling to is a criminal.....they are already breaking the law.

The criminals who sell or give guns to other criminals can't buy, own or carry guns, and so can't pass any background check...they steal the guns from cars, homes and gun stores.....

You keep prattling on about background checks knowing this.....you are childish......and trying to disrupt the thread.

We have background checks for licensed dealers now. No reason we can't have the same type background checks for individual sellers. You just want to make sure crooks can easily get all the guns they want without a background check.
