This is what happens when people are sick and addicted to gambling. I watched it first hand in my wife. I used to play poker from time to time but I would never feel a need to stay if I was no longer interested and I certainly wouldn't leave kids alone in a vehicle.

The kids will probably get in trouble by their parents now for leaving the car and getting them in trouble. Messed up.

Those children were far too young to be in a parked car. And they were in danger to traffic. If they were in some states of the US they might be charged with serious crimes. Not sure what Canada does. The photos of the Casino show that the two women could not be seen from where the kids were left.

I like playing poker for pocket change (just to keep score). I wouldn't want to play for higher stakes because I can't afford to lose that much money.

Anyways, perhaps the worst I saw was a guy who was playing poker, fairly early in the morning and his pregnant wife comes into the casino, she had a kid in the car as well and starts attacking her spouse as he went to try to comfort her. Apparently he told her he was going to work and instead comes to the casino to play poker. Security had to come down and intervene.
