Turkey drops objections to Finland and Sweden joining NATO

Yet Russia can't muster more than 200,000 in Ukraine, even after scraping the very bottom of the barrel, and even after importing rapist-mercenaries from Chechnya and Syria.

Russian spec ops forces were pretty much wiped out. That's why Russia had to call in the Wagner Group mercs. They're not doing well either.

Russian strategy is to shell everything into rubble, then send in the cannon fodder. You know, unwilling draftees from Donbass, largely 60-year-old men, and various Russian minority groups that the Russians want to kill off. If the cannon fodder doesn't die, they send in the mercs. If the cannon fodder does die, they'll shell the rubble into smaller rubble. Rinse and repeat. That doesn't seem sustainable. And all it does is gain them some rubble. You can't rape rubble, so it doesn't benefit Russia.

And Russia is _much_ worse.

And Russia is _much_ worse.

We see Ukraine making small advances in the south, and Russia making small advances in the middle. We're also seeing lots of big Russian facilities going "boom" now, as the new Ukrainian artillery comes into service.
You keep making unsubstantiated claims about Russian forces.

Russia has only about 200.000 soldiers stationed, many of the best in the army are stationed in russia near the border where they are needed the most while Ukraine is loosing their best soldiers every day in the Donbas. The ukrainians themselves admitted that they lack qualified personel to operate western weapons in the number they are delivered and complain about a lack of fuel and spareparts.

Russia has the manpower, resources and infrastructure to win the war against Ukraine and as Ukrainian army gets weakened and tired, Russians advanced become faster and easier as you can see now in the Donbas.

Also, its actually Ukraine who is literally forcing retirees to fight in Ukraine and now young adults, recently even LGBT people.
Russian army can easily sustain the losses in Ukraine as long as Russia cripples the Ukrainian army, Ukraine however can not with the manpower and equipment they lose everyday.

So spare me the baseless assumptions about Russian manpower being depleted, becuase you said much the same back in March and April and it turns out Russia still is winning.,

Turkey didn't drop it's objections. Turkey made demands and those demands were met. It really goes to show how weak NATO really is. Turkey got everything it asked for, there were no real negotiations.

"NATO has never had a desire to invade Russia"
That's why it is more secure.
Biden announced more U.S. troops for Europe.
"But given the inept performance of Russian forces, it is obvious they could"
Can you imagine the thinking right now in the Pentagon?

After watching the inept leadership and performance of the Russian Army, the Pentagon needs to reassess the threat that Russia presents.

They are nowhere near the military power that had been assumed

Russia has depleted most of its military resources including tanks, missiles, aircraft and helicopters. Not only have they lost equipment but they are unable to maintain the equipment they have.
Most importantly, Russia lacks trucks
Basic trucks to provide fuel and supplies to their deployed forces

Said the same shit months ago and yet Russia has plenty of resources. You see, unlike US, Russia and manufacture them quickly, more than Ukraine can destroy while Ukraine cant recover from the casualties that inflicted upon them.

NATO would make them look like weekend warriors. China is much more a threat.

It is not the end of the story. Turkey will need to formally ratify the decision about Finland and Sweden.

But anyway, it is good that some compromise has been found. Turkey is too valuable asset for NATO to lose.

Erdagon just wanted to get concessions. He will not block their entrance to NATO now.

So Poootin....how is your illegal war working out?

Finland and Sweden will be admitted to NATO. It will require some additional time, though.

But this situation raises another important question - Turkey and the Kurds. They should find a way to get along with each other. And Turkey should be given a carte blanch to deal with Syria. The Assad regime should be removed.

Neither is going to happen.

Thanks to US betrayal of the Syrian Kurds, they have no choice but to join us and the process to integrate them into the Syrian army is undergoing as planned. Without the Kurds for hosipitality, the US will be forced out of Syria and Turkey will have to go back to Turkey.

Not sure how Poootin figures into this.

Maybe, I am not too indulged in this conflict. But if, or when, Turkey decides to deal with Assad, it should be supported in this endeavour.

Putin was mistaken in exposing the weakness of his Military force

NATO looked at Russia as a major adversary. Putin displayed they are not
He did a great disservice to his country and countrymen. He showed the Russian Military is nothing other than a paper tiger.

China is a threat in their own Theater

If they think they can invade Taiwan….Taiwan will kick their ass

Up until this year, we looked at Russias military force, planes, tanks and weapons and considered them a major adversary

They showed they have no conception of how to deploy them and lack leadership, training and logistics
