Trump's Washington police takeover echoes history of racist narratives about urban crime

I don't have to choose anyone. I know there are low crime safe all black communities in this country. You don't, because in your echo chamber the only black community you know about is a small section of Chicago. Your racism has you believing that white communities are somehow inherently safer and better even though the UCR shows that white communities at no safer than any other community.
Can't find anyone...can you, Little Buddy?
I've never lived in Chicago. Couldn't tell you a safe neighborhood from an unsafe one. What I CAN tell you is that Barack Obama didn't buy his mansion in a predominantly black neighborhood! Why? BECAUSE THEY'RE NOT AS SAFE!!!
I lived in downtown Boston for many years. There are black neighborhoods there. There are white neighborhoods there. Sorry to burst your liberal bubble but it was a LOT safer in the Lower Mills section of Dorchester than it was in the Blue Hills section of Dorchester! Ask anyone else from Boston if I'm lying...

You all are 100%ers

15% of the population
85% of the violent crime.
He's dropped to a new low level of loathsome lib loon kying
In a way he is saying that heavier does not mean weighs more.

Of course, the off-topic personal attacks will come, and that's fine. Plausible deniability just doesn't work with me. You are going to be shown evidence. This so-called law and order rhetoric has a racist history. This is a FACT.

Trump's Washington police takeover echoes history of racist narratives about urban crime

Conservative lawmakers have for generations used denigrating language to describe the condition of major American cities and called for greater law enforcement, often in response to changing demographics in those cities driven by nonwhite populations relocating in search of work or safety from racial discrimination and state violence. Republicans have called for greater police crackdowns in cities since at least the 1965 Watts Riots in Los Angeles.

President Richard Nixon won the White House in 1968 after campaigning on a "law and order" agenda to appeal to white voters in northern cities alongside overtures to white Southerners as part of his “Southern Strategy.” Ronald Reagan similarly won both his presidential elections after campaigning heavily on law and order politics. Politicians ranging from former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani to former President Bill Clinton have cited the need to tamp down crime as a reason to seize power from cities like Washington for decades.

During the George Floyd protests in 2020, the Armed Conflict Location & Event Data Project found that the government intervened more in BLM demonstrations than in any other demonstration or protest.

“ACLED also highlights a violent government response, in which authorities use force more often than not when they are present at protests and that they disproportionately used force while intervening in demonstrations associated with the BLM movement, relative to other types of demonstrations.”

If Trump is serious about crime prevention, why not send troops to Beaumont, Texas?

Locals who live in nearby areas of Beaumont probably already know that the Beaumont, TX crime rate is one of the worst in the state and even in the country. It has a rating of F on areavibes.com due to it being 278% above the national average for violent crime.

Another case for gaining perspective on Beaumont, TX, is considering the crime rates in Houston. The city has one of the highest crime rates in the US, with 10.96 crimes per 1,000 people. The difference between Beaumont and Houston, though, is that the latter is home to more than two million people.

Or Shreveport, Louisiana?

Current Crime Statistics:

  • Overall Crime Rate: Shreveport's crime rate is approximately 50% higher than the national average.
  • Violent Crime: The city experiences a significant rate of violent crimes, including homicide, aggravated assault, and robbery.
  • Property Crime: Property crimes, such as burglary and theft, are also prevalent.

Both of these high-crime cities are run by white mayors.

Both these cities have higher crime rates than D.C,

Washington, DC is not even in the top 30 in crime.

Over 90% of murder victims in DC are black, so why do you oppose trying to stop that?

Are you that racist? Stupid? Brainwashed? All 3?

It’s what USMB wants to hang their hat on

You can use numbers to illuminate or to cloud a discussion. You can count on IM2 for the latter.
You white supremacists just can't face the fact that YOU ARE THE PROBLEM!

Am I wearing a white robe, IM2? With a pointy hat? LOL I'm about as much a "white supremacist" as I am a Martian! The PROBLEM is that nobody is listening to your bullshit anymore! That's what happens when you spout the same lies over and over.

I don't care what you were. You like Sowell becuse he says what you want to hear about black people and his beliefs about government ignores documented historical fact.

It's true, Sowell tells the truth.

You hate when black people do that.

You white supremacists just can't face the fact that YOU ARE THE PROBLEM!
This is what your black leaders got you.....

Trump wasn't going to do anything on January 6th because he planned it.
How clever of him, then, to offer to send the National Guard to protect the Capitol, banking on Nancy Pants being so stupid that she would say no.

As Hank Aaron sai, the KKK no longer wears hoods and robes. They wear suits and ties. As Dr. Carol Anderson and many others have said, white racism today is not about a klan rally, it is about school board meetings, city council meetings etc., where groups of whites protest against. books, curriculums and equal oppotunity. Donald Trump is the white backlash against the first black president.

“Laissez-Faire Racism involves persistent negative stereotyping of African Americans, a tendency to blame blacks themselves for the black-white gap in socioeconomic standing, and resistance to meaningful policy efforts to ameliorate America’s racist social conditions and institutions.”
-Lawrence Bobo, James R. Kluegel, Ryan A. Smith - LAISSEZ FAIRE RACISM: The Crystallization of a ‘Kinder, Gentler’ Anti-Black Ideology

Modern racism is a belief that reflects an underlying prejudice towards black and non-white people in the United States. The difference in contemporary racism from Jim Crow racism is that the attacks focus on a group’s culture instead of claiming genetic superiority. Modern racism is primarily done online on social media. Modern racists will not express openly racist views. They believe racism is over and that racism is a thing of the past.

You are a white supremcist. The conversation we have had proves it. Your questions about where I would raise my kids is further evidence. You just can't bring yourself to believe that blacks could ever feel unsafe arund whites and you even tried telling a man who lives in a rural state and have been in rural all white towns how there is less racial animosity in rural all white towns when I live less than 10 miles from several rural all white towns where blacks better not be caught in after dark.

In 2025.

The KKK was never the only white supremacist group, nor do you have to to be affiiated with a white supremacist group to be one. White supremacy is the belief that whites communities are better, or that white opinion is the authoritative opinion on everything. You do both of these things.

“The second key maneuver, which flowed naturally from the first, was to redefine racism itself. Confronted with civil rights headlines depicting unflattering portrayals of KKK rallies and jackbooted sheriffs, white authority transformed those damning images of white supremacy into the sole definition of racism. This simple but wickedly brilliant conceptual and linguistic shift served multiple purposes. First and foremost, it was conscience soothing. The whittling down of racism to sheet-wearing goons allowed a cloud of racial innocence to cover many whites who, although ‘resentful of black progress’ and determined to ensure that racial inequality remained untouched, could see and project themselves as the ‘kind of upstanding white citizen(s)’ who were ‘positively outraged at the tactics of the Ku Klux Klan”. The focus on the Klan also helped to designate racism as an individual aberration rather than something systemic, institutional and pervasive.”
- Carol Anderson, White Rage: The Unspoken Truth of Our Racial Divide
Dr. Carol Anderson

What is really happening is that we as blacks are not taking your shit lying down. Your use of plausilblle deniability ain't working. YOU are a racist.

How clever of him, then, to offer to send the National Guard to protect the Capitol, banking on Nancy Pants being so stupid that she would say no.
He didn't offer anything because like now, he was in control of the guard.

You white supremacists just can't face the fact that YOU ARE THE PROBLEM!
I guarantee you, I know where most of the noise comes from where I live. Somewhat diverse. And have lived in that way for decades. You see, people are entitled to their space. And unfortunately there are people who invade other people's space.
