The same problem have German car manufacturers. I don't know what's the situation today concrete. But in times before Corona BMW for example had the problem that it became damned diffcult to sell German cars "made in USA" in China. BMW was once the biggest car exporter of the USA. I guess meanwhile this will be impossible. So the proud factories in the USA from the German car manufacturers are only a bad business any longer - also because anti-Gemanism is a wide spread national feeling meanwhile in the USA; Anti-Germanism brings votes. That BMW was once the biggest car exporter of the USA interests no one any longer. "USA first. Keep the USA great" means to tear down what is not-USA. And not-USA is the rest of the world including 50%-99% of the USA.
