Trump's false narrative about fighting crime. It's a Dictators tactic to get rid of the opposition

Only an idiot would come to that conclusion just because I am opposed to this stunt that is only a temporary thing that does nothing to stop the cause of crime. People being scared to leave their homes because they don't want to get shot by a soldier is not a viable solution to crime, and any numbers claiming this is a successful solution that doesn't take this into account is just disingenuous BS coming from racists who enjoy seeing whites trying to dominate black people.

States with Republican governors have more crime, and the fact that a convicted felon leads the Republican party should really make you idiots shut up about your party and crime. Trump released 1,500 white criminals from prisons but he sends troops to DC, claiming he must control crime.

Yeah, that's the ticket.
Quote a black person afraid to leave their home, because they will get shot. Go ahead, even the mayor has come out and said. What Trump did was good. We know you don't like that because Schumer has told you different.

‘Living in this terror’: DC mayor shares message to anxious residents during law enforcement surge

August 28, 2025
As President Donald Trump’s law enforcement surge approaches the end of its third week, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser is working to quell the fear and anxiety it has created for some city residents.
In one case, The Associated Press reported, officers made an arrest in the Mount Pleasant neighborhood near Bancroft Elementary School on Wednesday morning. A group of community members chanted, and some of the officers had their faces covered.

One resident said incidents like that are resulting in fear.

“We know that when carjackings go down, when use of gun go down, when homicide or robbery go down, neighborhoods feel safer and are safer,” Bowser said. “This surge has been important to us for that reason.”

D.C. police, Bowser said, need to hire 500 more officers over the next few years to reach the threshold of 4,000 officers that officials think the city needs.

But, in one of her strongest public rebukes since the surge started, Bowser said masked U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents and National Guard troops from other states aren’t helping to keep the city safe. Instead, the setup may be causing some community members to question whether they can trust local law enforcement when they need help, city leaders said.

“There’s tremendous anxiety in the District,” Bowser said. “When I look and I see residents putting things on social media or neighborhood chats, I know that there is a lot of anxiety. There’s a lot of anxiety with kids going back to school.”

Trump vowed to make Washington streets safer. In one neighborhood, people feel less safe than ever.

‘On edge’: Trump’s military deployment in Washington stirs fear, confusion

Their presence has not directly disrupted traffic, but the Trump administration’s deployment of federal forces – part of its takeover of city policing – has left Washington, DC, residents fearful and confused.

Trump’s DC rhetoric echoes history of racist narratives about urban crime

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump has taken control of D.C.’s law enforcement and ordered National Guard troops to deploy onto the streets of the nation’s capital, arguing the extraordinary moves are necessary to curb an urgent public safety crisis.

Even as district officials questioned the claims underlying his emergency declaration, the Republican president promised a “historic action to rescue our nation’s capital from crime, bloodshed, bedlam and squalor and worse.” His rhetoric echoed that used by conservatives going back decades who have denounced cities, especially those with majority non-white populations or led by progressives, as lawless or crime-ridden and in need of outside intervention.

Trump's false narrative about fighting crime is simply and excuse to go after Black Mayors and specifically in Democratic Blue States.

For example, Houston's crime rate has increased by 20% but it is a Red State and the Mayor is white (John Whitmore). Chicago's crime rate has decreased by over 30% but it is a Blue State and its Mayor is Black (Brandon Johnson).

This Trump narrative is not only racist but political. He is using the word "crime" (something that all people relate to and want it to stop) to go after Blue States. He is using lies because he knows that people in general (especially Trump cult members) are not interested in researching facts but in believing the leader they chose.

He doesn't care about combating crime but about preventing the coming elections from turning around against him. He knows his followers will believe, support, and act on his words.

Here is more proof of what this OP is stating:

Trump suggests more cities need National Guard but crime stats tell a different story

Using the National Guard is a military maneuver that is used by Dictators to seize power. That is exactly what Trump is trying to do:

Im 100% agreement. Trump should send those troops to help republican cities with their crime, and let democrat cities find for themselves.

Also, just FYI, houston is a democrat city with a democrat mayor.

Yes, the fake crime drop was very impressive.
The real one in the last three weeks is much better.
If you need to swallow your criminal messiah's self-serving lies, my citing the actual crime statistics isn't going to help you, but here's the truth, anyway:

Here is more proof of the OP's correctness status:

The 21st Century Red State Murder Crisis

  • The red state murder rate was 33% higher than the blue state murder rate in both 2021 and 2022.
  • 2022 was the 23rd consecutive year that murder plagued Trump-voting states at far higher levels than Biden-voting states.
  • 8 out of the 10 states with the highest murder rates in 2022 voted for Donald Trump in both 2016 and 2020.
  • From 2000 to 2022, the average red state murder rate was 24% higher than the average blue state murder rate.
  • Red states like Mississippi, Louisiana, and Alabama are America’s murder capitals and have had the highest three murder rates for 15 of the last 23 years.
  • The excuse that sky high red state murder rates are because of their blue cities is without merit. Even after removing the county with the largest city from red states, and not from blue states, red state murder rates were still 20% higher in 2021 and 16% higher in 2022.
Why isn't Trump addressing this issue?

White House Touts DC Crime Numbers It Previously Said Were False

“Trump, when confronted with data showing crime here already declining before he took over the city’s police force, has repeatedly dismissed the data as fake and manipulated.

But with the same agency now reporting continued drops in crime, his White House is eager to tout data it once derided as untrustworthy.”

“Total crime in D.C. is down 19% and violent crime is down 30%,” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said during Thursday’s press briefing, ticking off double-digit percentage reductions in homicides, robberies, car thefts and assaults. “These numbers prove the president’s bold actions to make D.C. safe and beautiful again are working just like he said they would.”

The numbers come from the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department, which the president had previously accused of releasing fake crime data to create a false impression of safety. (The White House confirmed to HuffPost it’s using MPD numbers but declined to comment.)
