Trump's DC Occupation Costs 4 Times More Than It Would Take to House City's Entire Homeless Population

Give one of your ideas for crime prevention programs.
What they already do, just not report crime. No report, no crime, the liberal way. It's mostly peaceful murders anyway, and property crimes are little more than preemptive reparations.

I doesn’t matter how much it costs.

It is made for TV political intimidation.

A flagrant appeal to bigotry and a cosplay of the white supremacist dream of a white racis police state.
Have you asked the people living there what they think, or did you just come up with that after reading a few headlines from your favorite hate sites?

Right...You party pimp butt stabbers only care when the other team is doing the spending.

Precisely my point, which flew straight over your unprepossessing head.
Trump and his cult have been whining about the debt for over 10 years.
Then running campaigns since 1980 on the deficit and debt.

What have they done?
Not a ******* thing, except WHINE about the other party.

The mayor is a democrat, and you're trying to tell me that Quid Pro Joe was unable to work with a democrat mayor to provide all those services you're fantasizing about? The city gets all kinds of tourist money and has a lot of private services. The residents pay hefty taxes, and you're trying to tell me the democrat mayor couldn't figure out a way to make it happen?
Facts aren't fantasizing. The fantasy is what Trump is telling you. Congress controls what DC gets. It's time you right-wingers stopped trying to blame emocrats fr everything when your policies mess up things more. DC was so unsafe that Trump cut its security budget by 40 percent. So you idiots can fall for these stunts if you want to, the fact here is that it would cost for less to provide housing for the homeless and for actual crime prevention programs instead of a temporary military presence that's pissing off the citizens and will eventually create a crisis.
It’s been done your way for sixty years. You failed miserably.
No it hasn't. That's the problem.

You haven't because the people there have been protesting this. nd don't post some article from some right-wing site or a post on X.

Let's see if anyone can see the contradiction in the above bolded parts. Then we ask the obvious question. If it has been so bad, why have not the democrats done anything about it when they are in power? Also ignoring the mayor's role in all of this.

You mean posts where people who live in DC are talking about how happy they are to be able to walk the streets again? You don't want to see them, right?

Republican states are worse. I live in a state that was fucked up by Republicans to such an extent that Republican leaders endorsed a Democrat for two terms as governor. So you can take your Democrat state garbage and stick it. People aren't moving places because they are Republican or Democrat. And if you live in a MAGA state, you're in real trouble.
The census shows millions leaving democrat states to live in GOP states

In recent years, millions of people across the United States have moved from Democratic cities to Republican suburbs, complicating the politics of swing states in a pivotal election year, according to a Stateline analysis.

Republican suburban counties in four swing states — Georgia in the South and Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin in the Midwest — gained the most new arrivals; heavily Democratic cities lost the most. In Western swing states Arizona and Nevada, meanwhile, the biggest people magnets have been slightly Democratic cities that are expected to be hotly contested.

Those shifts reflect a nationwide trend: In Republican counties, as defined by the 2020 presidential vote, 3.7 million more people have moved in than have left since 2020, while Democratic counties had a net loss of 3.7 million, according to a Stateline analysis of U.S. Census Bureau estimates and county presidential election data kept by the University of Michigan.

The U.S. Census Bureau estimates released in March included people who moved within the country between mid-2020 and mid-2023, a time of pandemic dislocations, lockdowns in big cities, and the rise of remote work that fed a search for affordable housing in less crowded and more scenic settings. Those settings, as it turns out, also tend to be more conservative. The census numbers do not include births or immigration.

The tariffs will pay off the annual deficit in 2 years.

Like I said, people aren't moving to places because of political party.

The trend is very clear, people are escaping the democrat states due to crime, high living costs, high taxes, poor schools, they arent safe, homeless everywhere, sanctuary cities attracting crime drugs. Its not even, far more are leaving democrat states than GOP states. Thats the difference. Its called voting with your feet.
When you make a comment try and support it with examples ideas, something. Thats why democrats will lose seats in the 2030 Census

What a fraud.

* know many people living in the District and the metro area.

Not one of the, approves. And they come from a variety of walks of life.

No decent American would ever approve a military occupation of the nation’s Capitol.

15th post
I’ve been hearing right wingers make claims like that for 60 years.

You should probably realize it's happening, dumbass

Now don't start your butt hurt flaming, I have no interest in it

Wash DC is already managed by the federal government they cant occupy it. They have already reduced crime significantly. Do you really think people are against that? What kind of decent American supports crime?

Picture the optics, Trump makes the city safe and democrats scream occupation. The occupation is by criminals running loose. Democrats are the party that defends crime, creates crime, covers it up and doesnt give a crap about victims. Lets see how this plays in the next election. I cant wait to see the campaign commercials.
