I was talking with a buddy of mine at GS in NY this morning. I told him I've looked at this manufacturing fantasy from every angle I can come up with, and I just don't see it.

He told me he knows of no one in his section (analysis) who isn't worried. He sounded pretty dark, but maybe he was just having a bad day. Trump may have to just take whatever decreased tariffs he can get, dishonestly call it a "huge and great victory", and get the fuck out of this.

My job is literally to forecast, order, and move a few billion dollars in materials from all over the world to US customers. We are looking at massive order reductions, massive demand reductions, massive cost increases, and a massive disruption in supply chains.

Should be a massive problem.
