Don’t even matter why. Right now Trump says who gets it and who doesn’t. Brennon abided his privilege as did all the others in the news who are looking at having it pulled. You just have to deal with that because it’s done and over.

I know, I know, he has the authority to do it, as the titular head of the Intelligence Services, but Trump knows shit from shinola about who deserves a security clearance or why one might be revoked. (he might know a little about why one might be withheld, though, thanks to his son-in-law's difficulties in that regard).

He needs to get his little fingers out of that pie. It is unseemly and dictatorial. Let the people who issue the clearances decide who loses one. Trump didn't even consult with them before doing this.

It is why our system of government allows the head of the
Executive Branch to appoint subordinates who know the laws and regulations concerning the various facets of governing. When a question arises, the Chief Executive calls them in and asks for options and advise.

That is one of the great thing about having a Chief Executive with executive/managerial experience instead of some two-bit politician who has never, ever had to make a payroll.
