Anyone who has ever been part of a military parade wanted no part of it. It is a complete clusterfuck, especially if you are at the back of the parade. Before it even begins everyone is assembled, so if you are at the back it is going to be a while before you even start marching. So you stand around and wait. And you have all been assembled waiting for it to begin already, even those at the front.

And, of course, no one wants to be the company that screws something up so they have you drill and go over things multiple times before the day even arrives.

At least I did mine for a division change of command, an actual General with command experience, and not some cosplay douchebag like Trump.
