In the USA it is not always easy to find Canadian Maple Syrup and is usually higher priced than the US maple syrup. I have never been able to tell the difference between the quality of the pure maple syrups. Much of it from both countries is diluted with various ingredients, including high fructose corn syrup. You have to read the labels. Stuff you get in pancake restaurants, etc., are coin flips and gambles.I think many states in the USA produce maple syrup like Maine and Vermont. Buy American.
