The thing is, I don't think he has a criminal mind. He seems a reasonably normal person. Which tells us that black people are naturally very violence-prone and have a very low threshold for anger. The alleged assault of a Trump Administration staffer known as “Big Balls” has prompted the President to threaten a federal takeover of Washington, D.C., to address what he labeled the district’s “totally out of control” crime problem.

Trump posted on his Truth Social platform on Tuesday a photo of a bloodied, shirtless Edward Coristine, one of the young engineers hired by Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency earlier this year, claiming that he was “beaten mercilessly by local thugs.”

The Metropolitan Police Department announced Tuesday that the two apprehended suspects were a 15-year-old male and a 15-year-old female,

According to a police report obtained by TIME, Coristine was allegedly assaulted by a “group of approximately 10 juveniles” early Sunday morning. According to the report, Coristine was with his “significant other” Emily Bryant near their car when he “saw the suspects approach and make a comment about taking the vehicle.” Coristine reportedly “pushed” Bryant into the car before being beaten by the suspects. When officers patrolling the area approached, the report says, the suspects fled by foot, and two were caught and positively identified by the victims.

This would be a bad decision by Trump in my opinion. If I am him, I view carefully the issue of crime as there are forces who want to hurt his administration and find reasons to paint him as a strong man who is operating like a king. They did it before 2020 as well to cut into his broader appeal and it probably worked.

It''s one thing to weigh in on an issue, another to step over a line.

As an example, Premier Ford and former Mayor Tory weighed in on a legal issue and then both went silent and tried to change the subject when the facts came out which made them look like impulsive fascists.

Regardless of what is facts or not, Trump overstepping his boundaries is setting a precedence that could impact Florida, Texas or Arizona in the future while at the same time allowing MSNBC and especially CNN (who are appealing more to Independents and libertarians of late, even if slightly) to view Trump as a tyrant looking for any excuse to take away powers relegated to the states (or municipalities) while having an entirely different opinion as it refers to Roe vs Wade.

Stay consistent and let the United STATES be just that. Though I understand D.C is technically not a state, some people might be trying to harm him in the midterms and it doesn't take much to lose the support from those hard to reach communities that GOP never tapped into in the past.
