I understand that is what trump hopes. But do we have enough workers in manufacturing to accomplish that goal. Under Biden's leadership I see a shift from strictly college funding to technical and grades schools to prepare for that future to help US. Let's hope trump doesn't cut that funding and cut our throats at the same time. Fewer and fewer American -born citizens want such jobs and with Trump's plans to get rid a lot of immigrants will not help that either.
Most Americans over-estimate our value to the rest of the world. We went from an innovative , forward -thinking people to something less useful to ourselves or anyone else.
Let's put this on a personal.level you can buy your goods from the neighbor right down the street or the guy across town. Although there are obvious advantages to deal with the man near by he's a real pain in the ass. It all depends how long you're willing to put up with the BS trump is the BS in this situation.

Unless China is ready to blindside the US and take over as numero uno in the world. They're cozying up to Africa and South America , cheap labor and lots of natural resources. And they are part of everyone's economy across the globe. Looks like a recipe ripe for success. The US will always retain some semblance of importance in world affairs but I believe the torch has already been passed.and we will never catch up. Even trump has only so.many tricks up his sleeve.
