Women Are Getting Sterilized After Donald Trump's Victory: 'Only Option'

It's not a procedure you'd expect a 28-year-old to be planning. But for Lydia Echols from Texas, having her fallopian tubes removed is the price she's willing to pay to ensure her reproductive rights.

Newsweek spoke to five women who have either undergone sterilization procedures or plan to in the wake of President-elect Donald Trump's victory on November 5. They all expressed fear their reproductive choices will be taken from them under Trump's administration.

"If I am to be denied any rights in the next four (or more) years, I will not give them up without a fight," Echols said.

Well, at least that will cut down on the number of abortions. I'm betting they were pretty safe from getting impregnated in the first place.

There is a theory abroad about the ability of wimmin to think, using facts and logic rather than emotions and feelings.

The assertion that women's reproductive rights are compromised by the election of Trump 47 goes far beyond a problem with logic. It borders on psychosis.

Point #1: The President has NO POWER to affect national abortion policy.

Point #2: President Trump has stated clearly and unambiguously that he has no interest in trying to set a national abortion policy: it is up to the States.

Point #3: In the absence of a Constitutional Amendment, there CAN BE NO NATIONAL ABORTION POLICY.

Point #4: President Trump 45 was NOT RESPONSIBLE for the overturning of Roe v Wade. That odious case was certain to be overturned emphatically, it was only a question of time.

Point #5: Wimmen had a very limited Constitutional Right to get an abortion under Roe v Wade. That "right" only existed during the first trimester. The State could regulate or prohibit abortions during the second trimester, and abortions during the third trimester were prohibited.

Wimmins' reproductive rights are exactly what they were for the entire history of the country prior to about 1970. Before that time, BC pills and abortion were basically off the table. And women survived!

If you had zero chance of getting laid prior to the election, now it's reality!

LOL

"You'd expect a 28 year old to be planning." Uh...yeah, maybe like fifty years ago. Women these days put off even thinking about kids until their 30s.

That should yield at least a few fewer HyperLeft Fruitcakes cowering in their Safe Spaces... :laughing0301:

Never help a Prog. In distress or begging for help. Let them suffer and die in a dire situation. For they destroy the positive. And live off the negative.

The old get married in one's 20s and buy a house, etc is going away. A GROWING number are saying "want me to work work work" then you get your wish. But we cannot expect them to raise kids too. That simply isn't working anymore. Toss that out the door.

Sounds like feminism was a lie, but it did give the corporations two workers for one household income instead of one.
