My takeaway is some folks at the decision making executive levels are gouging contract revenue for themselves and not reinvesting in their respective companies / industries.
Instead of billions of dollars going to executives or dividends, maybe use that money to update your industry and make stuff quicker.
It's sort of leftist on its face but defense industries that depend on taxpayer dollars/.gov contracts should be held to more stringent standards.
LOL....Folks, this is what happens when pknopp has nothing else of substance to add.
You could have been cooler about it.
Raytheon's new hypersonic missile was supposed to be ready in 2025. Now moved to 2027 which is only 1 year away. I don't think they are going to make it. Cost for the new missile is round $15M versus a standard cruise missile $2M each. Just recently 3 Raytheon cruise missiles turned out to be duds.Watch, it will happen. His last one went over poorly and he never let's go a slight or embarrassment.

It would help the working class? No wonder liberals are howling against it. It all makes sense now.The money goes into the wages of workers. The money will be used to increase production that will create more jobs
By providing quality goods and services at competitive prices.Trump is ******* with the profits of the Military-Industrial Complex?
the whole purpose of being a corporation is to make profits for your shareholders.
By providing quality goods and services at competitive prices.
If those corporate profit seekers believe that their purpose is to donate campaign funds to both sides and reap the rewards in government contracts, then the system has broken down.
Making sure our warfighters have the most up to date and high quality equipment is a key responsibility of the Secretary of War and the Commander in Chief.
If a defense contractor can't deliver on time and within budget due to them doing stock buybacks then it needs to be addressed. It was, and now you are complaining for some odd reason.
Hyuck, hyuck!Profit is now a dirty word to MAGA, lol.
Hyuck, hyuck!
Never said anything like that, but whatevs . . .

As has been frequently noted on this board, Trump could personally cure cancer forever and the deranged would find a reason to cry about it.I don't entirely disagree. I think that the whole military procurement system is screwed up.
And if we had people more ethical and competent than Cheeto Hitler and Kegseth, I'd be all for reform.
But this is a typical Trump thing. He'll talk a good game and then quietly back down when he's gotten some minor concession.
As has been frequently noted on this board, Trump could personally cure cancer forever and the deranged would find a reason to cry about it.
Good God, y'all!Except Trump isn't curing cancer.
In fact, quite the opposite.

President Trump’s Administration is imposing a new policy to cap indirect costs for National Institutes of Health (NIH) research grants at 15 percent, which would cut billions of dollars in funding for life-saving research to develop cures and treatments for diseases. Under the leadership of House Appropriations Committee and Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education Subcommittee Ranking Member Rosa DeLauro, Congress enacted a provision that has been included annually in appropriations bills since 2018 that explicitly prohibits any Administration from making these changes.
“Once again, President Trump and Elon Musk are acting in direct violation of the law. In this case, they are causing irreparable damage to ongoing research to develop cures and treatments for cancer, Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, ALS, Diabetes, Mental Health disorders, opioid abuse, genetic diseases, rare diseases, and other diseases and conditions affecting American families,” said Ranking Member Rosa DeLauro. “The Trump Administration is attempting to steal critical funds promised to scientific research institutions funded by the NIH, despite an explicit legal prohibition against this action.”
Good God, y'all!
How many trillions have we spent looking for a cure for cancer and gotten jack shit in return?
What will it take for you te realize you're being played by the Cancer Research Industry?
Of course! We have made huge strides in treating cancer.
