Trump: Susan B. Anthony to Get Posthumous Pardon

People forget that suffrage was a Conservative issue, the libs hated it.

This move will remind them.

Actually... it was more about the Prohibition movement than a Conservative issue. Women were getting tired of their drunk husbands beating the crap out of them, and they couldn't do anything about it.

Right ....

And, it had nothing to do with voting !!!

SMH !!!

I didn't say it didn't have anything to do with voting. Women used their right to vote to be able to help pass laws, like prohibition, as an important reason to fight for the women's suffrage movement. If you want to know more about how big of a deal it is, you can pick up the book Last Call by Daniel Okret.

You fucking nimrod, Susan B. Anthony died before prohibition.

And? She started the movement, and what got it over the finish line was the Prohibition movement. There is a reason why Prohibition is the 18th Amendment to the Constitution, and Women's suffrage is the 19th. Women were protesting BOTH and those in power knew they HAD to pass Prohibition or they would be voted out of office as soon as women got the right to vote. I already shared the perfect book to read about it. Of course not a single person reads books these days that might teach them something about a subject that is against their beliefs.
STFU, leftist dumbass. And she was dead before anyone even thought about prohibition. Fucktard.

Do what you always do. When defeated with facts, you go to ad hominem attacks.

If not for the joining of the two groups, the Temperance Movement groups who were very organized, and the women's suffrage groups. neither Amendments may have never occurred. Do some research... or just sit around and get drunk and call people names.

How did Susan B. Anthony have ary a damn thing to do with prohibition? Hmm?
Especially since she was dead 3 decades before it happened.
This should be interesting..

Miss Anthony died long before the 18th A was ratified. Actually, it was the 16th Amendment that made the 18th possible. Not women's suffrage which didn't happen until AFTER the Volstead Act became law.

The 16th Amendment was needed to make Prohibition a reality as liquor taxes were the biggest cash cow for the Federal Government before 1913

I already told you. She started the movement, but it was put over the finish line when the two movements joined forces. If the movement was all her... then why did it not become law until 3 decades after her death? See how that works? Did you read the link? Of course you didn't.

You need to go read the link as well I see. The only way the two Amendments get passed when they did is because of the strength each gave each other. The Temperance movement had the structure, and the suffrage movement gave it the army of bodies to protest and reach more people.

Trump thinks to himself: “hmm, self. The Republican senate just issued a report that said I colluded with Russians. What should I do, self?
Self answers: “Pardon Susan B Anthony!”

Actually the book was written more than a half century ago and the movie didn't capture the theme of the book, which was duty. Heinlein was exploring better political systems than the stupid one we have. In the book you had to prove that you were willing to be unselfish to get to participate in the political process. I like that idea. It will reduce the number of welfare queens that think they are entitled to have somebody else pay their bills simply because they are alive.

An even better Economics lesson by Heinlein was "The Moon is a Harsh Mistress". That book is where the famous phrase "there ain't no such thing as a free lunch" come from. No person that ever read that book and understood the economic lesson would ever vote for a Democrat.
I have read Heinlein and I too am a fan of the model.

I just question it's practicality in reality.

The best system is the one that our Founding Fathers instituted.

A Constitutional Republic where there is a Bill of Rights that protects you from government abuses.

the problem is that our Bill of Rights is nowhere strong enough. For instance, we need a right that says the government can't take the money made by one person and give it to another that didn't earn it.

Not only is our Bill of Rights not near strong enough but we see the Liberals ignoring it when it suits their fancy. We should have substantial penalties for violating Constitutional rights. For instance, if somebody tries to infringe upon my right to keep and bear arms by imposing (and enforcing) a ban on what arms I can own then they need to be held criminally and civil accountable.

We need to much better protect individual liberties than we are doing now. The Liberals want to make this country a Socialist shithole so they can raid the treasury to satisfy their own greed and they have no qualms about abusing our individual liberties to do so.

While I agree 100% ..... I feel the hour may be too late.

The Bill of Rights only protected you from Federal governmental abuses until the passage of the 14th Amendment. Until that point, state laws and other laws lower than that could violate rights provided under the Bill of Rights.

President Trump announced Tuesday morning he will give a posthumous pardon to Susan B. Anthony, one of history's biggest figures in the women's suffrage movement.

The announcement came 100 years to the day after the 1920 ratification of the 19th Amendment, which gave women the right to vote.

Anthony, a strong anti-slavery pioneer who died in 1906, had been arrested in 1872 for violating laws that had permitted only men to vote in the Presidential election.

She was then indicted, tried and convicted for voting illegally and sentenced to pay a fine of $100 and court costs.

Another historical act from this historical President.

This will surely upset our Leftist friends.
Upset the rabid feminazis in particular. Oh wait, they're mainly leftists.

That's EXACTLY Right ....

Those Feminazi's hate actual women who stood up for Women's Right's.

We see the same Shit with Black LIES Matter.

The feminazis I was referring to hate traditional moms who wanted their children and loved staying at home to benefit them.
