Trump sent a 14-page letter to the chair of the Jan 6 committee today, doesn't mention subpoena, eviscerates them for not investigating election fraud

In a 14-page letter to the Jan. 6 panel, Trump didn't say whether he'd comply with its subpoena. Instead, he used the letter to rail against the panel's investigation, calling it "a Show Trial the likes of which this Country has never seen before."

The fact of the matter is, if Trump is forced to testify, which I doubt he will; it really could backfire on them.

First, not only will people finally tune in, Trump will also be able to raise every full court press against him, the little interest in comparison to the unprecedented vote changes overnight that should have lead to even more interest than they had in him for "Russia, Russia", and, the fact that he did not encourage any violence, while his detractors DID support violent "protests" just months earlier.

It will also allow Trump to raise the facts that the only people who were murdered that day was an unarmed, Trump supporting, female soldier.

Do these fools really want the world to actually focus on this Committee after Trump raises all these issues plus additional facts? There is already major criticism by the worlds citizens on how Trump has been treated and they work overtime to make him and even bigger sympathetic figure.

Amazing. The arrogance of the Neo-Cons to burn their nations reputation to the ground to get back into power. Great intellects of the highest order...

"Our role is narrow," Trump supposed ally Senator Mike Lee, the conservative Utah Republican, says in rejecting the notion that Congress can overturn election results. 'Our job is to convene, is to open the ballots and to count them -- that's it." Lee is a close ally of Ted Cruz, who was mounting this objection

The term "eviscerates" implies imparting some sort of damage. Restating all his disproven claims, as he did couldn't possibly cause any damage to anyone but himself.

Subpoenaing Trump is the last gasp of a failed committee that has wasted four years of governing allowing disasters like the border problems, inflation, recession, etc. to fall by the wayside in order to try and punish a member of the opposing party.

Didn't read it but he is right about it being a show trial, culminating just before the midterms. Coincidence, coincidence. There really is no doubt about that. He should have just kept his mouth shut regarding election fraud. Of course they weren't going to investigate that.

14 pages? No surprise there. Damn, he's such a boob.

Surely he has a right to point out the committee was a complete waste of time. Why can't patriots protest a stolen election? Why can't Americans demand recounts?

Sorry bout that,

1. Should of wrote a book.
2. There is much to be said about the subject.
3. What happened and keeps happening, is one reason the world is going to crap.
4. It gets worse.
5. So bad many won't be able to withstand the crush.
