I carry a pistol because a police officer is too heavy (and expensive to feed).
Many styles of pistols come with a standard, double stack magazine. My Glock holds @14 rounds and is not an extended magazine, it is the original that came with.

Police officers also object strenuously to being put in holsters.

I sold guns at the Suburban Armory...10 minutes from Philly. Most cops I talked with support the 2nd adm. Whenever they approach anyone they are on high alert until they know deal. In Tenn we just got CC...nothing has changed.

So when I worked at the gun shop and talk to the cops...I got to talk to NRAers and they are a bunch of nuts. If the GOV wants your guns they are going to take them. In the Army it is called a command decision.

LEO is not just going to kick your door in. If they are coming they for you they have a good reason.

Anyhow...I was basically talking about pistols.

I think citizens should be allowed to carry just a basic load.

I think if you need more than a belly gun you need the police.

In a situation like that the police are a long distance away and you are on your own vs an unknown number of assailants. So, either you have enough ammunition to prevail, or you are killed along with everyone else, and your belly gun becomes a trophy to be used against the next poorly equipped victim.

Remember, criminals don't follow the law. So ANY law you pass will only affect the law abiding. So you are in effect empowering the evil doers and weakening the law abiding.
