If inflation rises and we have trumpty dumpty picking interest rates then bond investors might look to other countries like China to buy government bonds.

The US survives today because it sells government bonds (i.e. we are borrowing from foreigners all the time).

Then where will the US raise money? what bond interest rates might be needed to attract cagey investors?
