Trump sending in the National Guard and Federal agents isn't REALLY what's "desensitized" people, White...they've been desensitized by crime in our large cities that has become so overwhelming that normal people don't go out at night and are scared to death using public transportation! That's happened because of far left policies like defund the police and cash free bail.

The "goal" in this situation is to make our greatest cities safe again!

Don't misunderstand. I have no problem with the major push, using Federal agents of all federal law, border, immigration, FBI, ATF, Federal Marshall Service, etc, being sent in mass to do a job. It is only the Guard that is being misused, as they are not law enforcement and never have been, as never trained to be, with the exception, possibly of MP units.

What do you think they're doing that falls under the heading of "misuse"? Standing guard on a city street? They're not being used to effect arrests or investigate crime.

I've been focusing on the psychology of this for ten years, because this sociological, not political. I definitely don't think it's monolithic by any means, but I do think it falls into three generalized groups:

Those who have consciously decided that a neofascist state is literally the only way to "save" America from evil, the aggressively ignorant who are simply manipulable and pliant (the modern day version of Lenin's "useful idiots"), and the large swath who are barely paying attention but are taken by the shiny object.

This is always been about America, not about him. Since Day One. He is simply a consequence, a result, a sum.
