After the election I saw somebody argue on here that Democrats not worshiping Biden by wearing clothes with his name and face on them, flying flags with his words and face on them, and generally making loyalty to him their entire identity was proof that he did not win the election.

I really can't believe the Donald Trump dominated Republican Party. The Republican Party has captured the minds of those who live in the rural counties of America. Trump's followers are mostly farmers and rural shopkeepers. They lack education and they are not well-informed. Most of what they know about politics is by word of mouth. They are unfamiliar with what happened on Jan. 6, 2021. They only know Trump is their savior. For obvious reasons they are not members of internet forums like this one.

This crowd has captured the GOP, and the Republican Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, Republican House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, other GOP leaders, and the Republican ranks in Congress are all beholden to Donald Trump and his rural dominated uninformed followers.

Poster Stann speaks truth....and to a sense of true 'patriotism'.

TODAY'S RATIONALIZATION: In other words: no democrat on the horizon has any possibility of being such a striking leader and dynamic stand-out from the otherwise mire of hopeless candidates so as to inspire as much national pride, enthusiasm, hope and confidence especially as needed in tough times, so we need to gaslight everyone then by saying these are never the qualities of any "serious" candidate we would lower ourselves down to!
