He is a thousand times better than the DEI moron in charge now, and that guy is a “General”.Whether Dick Chaney did a good job or not is debatable but the Military is run by the civilian government. A Major in the N.G. isn't necessarily the best choice for someone who is in charge of National defense just because he served honorably.
His record dwarfs this idiot's, but who would expect a racist fool like you to see that.Who’s candidate wo
Remove the DEI’s
DEI weakened the military! So far my guy has no record in the position yet.His record dwarfs this idiot's, but who would expect a racist fool like you to see that.
I don't dislike the guy. I admire his honorable service and I like him. I merely question his qualification for an crucially important job like Secretary of Defense. So far it seems that it's two Bronze Star awards and a CIB. Is that enough?Nothing does. Doesn’t give you authority to insult his service prick

There aren't any qualifications other than one must be a civilian and out of the military for 10 years.I don't dislike the guy. I admire his honorable service and I like him. The real question is whether or not you wanna take the chance. Is North Korea worth risking a Soviet/Chinese nuclear strike?Allied? By treaty?
How does that necessarily lead to nukes?
Why do you think The Soviets and the Chinese are willing to take an American nuclear strike for North Korea?
Our politicians literally go to war over oil. Yes, the regime in Washington is THAT crazy. Of course, they'll always be far away from the front.Thats insane

Trump picks Fox News host and Army National Guard veteran Pete Hegseth for defense secretary

President-elect Donald Trump on Tuesday named Pete Hegseth, a Fox News host and military veteran, as his pick for defense secretary.
In a statement, Trump described Hegseth as "tough, smart and a true believer in America First."
"With Pete at the helm, America’s enemies are on notice — Our Military will be Great Again, and America will Never Back Down," Trump said.
House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., applauded Trump’s selection, calling Hegseth a “great choice.”
“Pete brings a lot to the table. He’s got experience, and I think he’ll be reform-minded in the areas that need reform. So I’m excited about the pick,” Johnson told reporters on Capitol Hill, without elaborating on what programs he thinks need changing.
Commentary:
Let Pete answer for himself...

Before joining Fox in 2014, Hegseth served as an Army National Guard Captain in Iraq and Afghanistan.www.nationalreview.com
Just think, that if Kamala elected the alternative would have been General Milley Vanilli.
Personally, I like the choice, Hegseth has no stone to grind. os a retired major and has been in the trenches. He didn't need to have his card punched.
I'm sure that people like former retirees like Gen. Keane,
Col. McGregor and others....
If they aren't, then what exactly is stopping us from invading?...are the ones I asked:

Well?
That would be nice, but I suspect he’s another Zionist neocon. Hope I’m wrong.
nope, Trump is adding a 20 year combat veteran who has worked for veterans rights. Wrote a book war on military. Trump is now president, he is putting his defense secretary in office. He will clean up the DEI nonsense allowed by your four star general weakening the forces. You're welcome
Here's what Daniel McAdams had to say about him....
Oh, and Bill Kristol likes him! What does that tell you?
What qualified Ash Carter or William cohenThe left campaigned for years to make stolen valor "legal". They complain about it only when a republican is chosen. There is no question that Hegseth served with honor but the question is whether it alone qualifies him for an important job like Secretary of Defense
there aren't actually any qualifications. So there's that. The only thing required is to be a civilian and out of the military for 10 years.
