Trump: Pelosi, Schumer ready to make a deal after executive orders

You have the upper hand. Just shut up and get something done.
I actually agree with you. At least that would be my preferred path forward.
But, if we've learned anything, Trump will be Trump.
It's hard to argue his results: one-run, one-presidency, compared to career-Joe's 0-2.

President Trump on Monday said Democratic leaders suddenly want to make a deal on a coronavirus relief package after he blew past the stalled negotiations with executive orders to send aid to Americans.

He said Senate Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who spent the weekend decrying the executive action as illegal, sent word they want to meet with him.

“So now Schumer and Pelosi want to meet to make a deal. Amazing how it all works, isn’t it. Where have they been for the last 4 weeks when they were ‘hardliners’, and only wanted BAILOUT MONEY for Democrat run states and cities that are failing badly? They know my phone number!” Mr. Trump tweeted.

They were ready to make a deal all along. It's the do-nothing republican't senate that didn't want a deal.

True, the Democrats passed legislation back in May.

They passed a candystore of liberal wants that cost a fortune...this is a bill to help americans not to be stuffed with environmental crap and handouts and giveaways
How come it took them two months to get around to making their own suggestions?

Well that's not true.

1987-1988: Trump considers a run for president, while simultaneously juggling large debts stemming from his purchase of the Taj Mahal casino.

2000: Trump enters the presidential race as a Reform Party candidate and receives more than 15,000 votes in the party's California primary.

2003-2004: Trump begins hosting the reality show The Apprentice on NBC, which he also executive-produces. He again mulls a run for president, but ultimately decides not to join the race.

How to run for president, according to Donald Trump

March 2011: A Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll shows Trump leading all presidential contenders, including Mitt Romney.

April 2011: Amid more research polls indicating that he would be the preferred Republican presidential candidate among voters, Trump repeatedly calls for President Obama to release his long-form birth certificate, questioning whether Obama was actually born in the United States. (Obama eventually complies and releases the birth certificate.)

By opening his big mouth, Trump makes it more difficult to arrive at an agreement. It's like starting your touchdown dance on the 5 yard line instead of getting across the goal line first. STFU, score the TD, and THEN do your victory party. Don't get me wrong, I like the EOs he signed, even if they are possibly unconstitutional. The Dems will look bad if they challenge the EOs in Court, so IMHO he's kinda got them by the short hairs. So don't rub it in even if they were and are a bunch of assholes; get the deal done first then make your political hay.

I like them too. I disagree with your analysis though. Only the most mentally challenged will think, "NO need to negotiate on legislation; we have the EO's". The Democrats do not need to challenge them in court....they will collapse under their own limitations. The unemployment benefits, for example, last five weeks under the EO since that money is coming from FEMA. So the tens of millions who are unemployed will not be getting their extra monies just in time for the election.

But they will look at 5 weeks being better than nothing.

Its an EO.

The bill contains a new FBI building and remodeling the White House.

The bill the House passed had aid to the States. The EO has none.

well of course they wanna make a deal,,Trump is about to hit a 60% approval because of his actions
It really gets under the skin of liberals when Trump's poll numbers get so high.

Because they know how skewed the polls are, and if Trump is even 50% favorable, that's real trouble for them.

I was listening to Limbaugh today. He said that although Fox news has been the number one news station on cable for many years, they are now the number one news station across the board including the major news stations on free television.

If this is true, it's real trouble for the Democrats. I don't doubt Rush's research because he usually doesn't say anything that can't be supported.

I noted that what he did allowed him to get one over on Nancy but this is why he is not a valid president and not worthy of the office.

A president doesn't go around bragging and announcing things like this. You simply meet with those involved and try and get an agreement done.

You have the upper hand. Just shut up and get something done.

Because if the shoe was on the other foot, we know the Democrats would not be bragging about it.

And that makes it OK? It's this kind of thinking that has the country in the mess it is.

So you'd be happy with Democrats playing by one set of rules that benefits them but not the Republicans? We didn't create this game--they did. We are just playing by their rules.

Man, it's absolutely impossible for you to be honest isn't it?

The Dems tried to reach a compromise LAST WEEK but Trump's Chief of Staff killed that.

They were ready to reach a deal from day one
No they weren't. They have always held out for that Trillion dollar money to bail out their poorly run states.

Pelosi, because she is almost as bad as Biden in formning sentences on the fly, explained it all on Sunday.

When she said they would come down a Trillion if the GOP were to go up a trillion...she spelled that out.
Their deal called for unemployment money and other items to go thru September of next year. She said Sunday
what they woukld do to eliminate a trillion would be to shorten the time they needed the money for. Ex: Instead of
next September, they would run it thru January, but they would still get the 915 billion for the States. The GOP
offered 150 billion for state use...not 915 billion and they were not going to budge off of that.

The Dems have lost this fight and they need to get back to the table as quick as possible and cut a deal for what
both sides agreed on. They have no choice now. The Donald has won this battle.

No they weren't. They have always held out for that Trillion dollar money to bail out their poorly run states.
As many of the states are red states as blue and it's not about being poorly run...it's about the loss of revenue from the fucking VIRUS you dumb shit

I didn't read anything on that. What did they want to compromise on?

They would cut $1 trillion from their bill, if Trump would meet them half way.

A trillion of what? What did they say they'd cut?
DOLLARS dope

The 150 billion would take care of that. Irt's that underfunded pension plans that are sending Calif, NY, NJ and Illinois to
the crapper.

Plus let's not forget billions to eliminate carbon emmssions from jet aircraft by 2035.

They have no choice. Per the norm, the old drunk has overplayed her hand and she is now forced to agree to a deal
on the items that they all agreed on.

I see that question flew right over your head. Typical uninformed voter.

The Master in Chief does it again! :2up:

GOD BLESS President Trump!

What did I say that's dishonest?

If I hear Sandra Smith on FOX news say one more time today that "The republicans didn't like it when Obama signed executive orders"....
Sandra you ignorant bitch....we are fighting our way out of a pandemic you stupid never Trumper......I can't watch this happen to a once fair and impartial news agency.....

They are not fair and impartial. They are nothing but Trump propagandists. Sandra Smith is one of the few REAL journalists at Fox.
Then explain to me why she selectively remembers covid.....she knows what the American people are going through....and she is going to compare Obamas EOs to Trumps?.......either its a lack of understanding of what its like to not be able to pay rent or she is purposely trying to make Trump and the republicans look bad.....the white house has been bending over backwards to get a deal.....hahaha deal with Schumer and Pelosi????? not possible....they do not care about you....get that through your pea size brain....

People are still not going to be able to pay their rent. There is no eviction moratorium and it will take months before any payments are made.Worth noting that Biden will be able to do the same thing once he takes office.
