They're scared because the old jobs are gone, the future in the wake of globalization is uncertain. Job security is non-existent. I'm not sure how old you are, but I'm of an age where loyalty to a job was valued - a job was permanent. Jobs that you or I, or our parents took on as a lifetime career are gone now. Social and cultural norms are fractured and changing. So what do we do? We lash out at trade, globalization, immigration as a way to try and understand what is happening. I'll not debate the "is it real" thing because frankly I could care less either way.

That said, I do believe that any simple chapel within the White House would have a loop hole of sorts regardless of the Constitution's clear statements on religious promotion - There are certain parts of the White House that cannot be altered due to historical significance, I would not doubt that a chapel prayed in by most of our Presidents would fall under such protection.

The Constitution simply says that CONGRESS shall not pass a law respecting an establishment of religion. The White House having a Christian chapel does not violate that in the least bit.
