When Israel got fed up with Iran and its proxies (Hamas, Hezbollah and Yemen) attacking them with drones and missiles, they finally went to war with Iran. Iran has publicly said that they will "strike" any ally of Israel. As a staunch ally of Israel and as we have been assisting Israel in shooting down drones and missiles that Iran and their allies fire into Israel, that meant our bases and troops in the Middle East are potential targets and "necessitated" sending more forces into that region to support our bases and troops. All we are doing at this time is to let Israel continue its fight while we continue, as we have been firing on any drones and missiles sent to Israel and protect our men and women in the region. We still haven't gone in and attacked Iran, as yet. Reason: Trump has said and still maintains that he would "prefer" to not be a wartime president.
Of course, if he ended up having to do so, your left would simply claim he was pro-war and putting our people in harm's way, ignoring the fact that the Democrats have gotten us into various wars, including one in which they wanted to continue having slavery in this nation.
