Trump often says, "People say such and such." Who are these people? Why doesn't he name them?

Throughout his campaign, Trump has attested to what "people" have said to him.
  • Well, who are these people?
  • Are any of them people whom one should think have a sound basis for having said "whatever" to Trump?
  • Are any of them people whom the rest of us should consider as neutral or whom we know would otherwise oppose Trump, but on the matter in question they do not?
  • Why doesn't Trump cite the sources of some of these "people," "lawyers," "friends," etc.
  • Why don't these people come forward and aver that they indeed made the remarks Trump notes?
At this point in the campaign, Trump has lied so often that he has zero credibility, and that's his fault, not anyone else's. Only Trump released his very first campaign commercial that depicted Muslims in Morocco and intimated that they were Mexicans crossing the U.S. border.

That was just the beginning....

Given his clearly demonstrated willingness to disregard the truth, I think it's high time Trump provide sources for everything he says other than his own name.
