Trump Now Gets a $1.8BN Taxpayer Slush Fund to Pay Others

Do you think Trump sexual abused E. Jean Carroll and defamed her?
No to the first and she defamed herself by bringing this 30 year old partisan BS.
Do you think Trump continued the defamation resulting in a second suit?
NO. See first reply.
Do you think that Trump committed felony falsification of business records per his criminal conviction?
NO. All three are being appealed in the courts. My opinion also has nothing to do with the case--as your non sequitur has nothing to do with the topic beyond the fact that they illustrate further weaponization of the DOJ. Now run along with the off topic distraction.

It’s a pretty huge difference.

Keepseagle also spelled out clearly who was entitled to compensation.

We have no idea who Blanche is going to be dishing money out to and the committee he appoints can just make up whatever criteria they want.
Of course we don’t know yet. How would we know until it happens?

I work closely with law enforcement and 5 officers said they understand why this was created

When law enforcement is weaponized to go after political rivals and their rights are abused, they all agree the victim deserves some justice, even if it’s just compensation

Trump and the many victims of the demafasict weaponization will never truly be whole though

Is there no way to challenge this with the Court? This is insane.

It’s insane for someone who get a settlement in a law suit to donate the money to the govt?

Explain…

You are insane. You've lost touch with any semblance of ethics.

I guess for you its all about pissing off anyone who doesn't like Trump. Even if he's stealing money from you - he's owning the libs!

Especially since, in the 5 full years that he has been in office, he has only taken $5 in salary and donated the rest. Only Hoover (R) has refused to take a salary and Kennedy (D) and Trump (MAGA) have donated theirs to charity.

On other media as well, but this one is not behind a paywall. The Trump run DOJ has awarded Trump a $1.8Bn settlement fund as part of his dropping his case against the US Government.

DoJ confirms $1.8B 'lawfare' fund as part of IRS deal

The United States Department of Justice announced on Monday that acting US Attorney General Todd Blanche (pictured) created "The Anti-Weaponization Fund," which will receive $1.8 billion from the judgment fund to "provide a systematic process to hear and redress claims of others who suffered weaponization and lawfare." The establishment of the fund was part of US President Donald Trump's settlement agreement to drop his $10 billion lawsuit against the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).

The fund will be authorized to issue formal apologies and provide financial compensation to claimants, with any remaining funds after the program ends reverting to the federal government. Filing a claim will be voluntary, with no partisan criteria required for eligibility, and the fund will also submit quarterly reports to the attorney general detailing recipients and the type of relief granted. It will also be subject to audits at the attorney general's direction.

In my country, it's a crime for the IRS to leak citizens' tax returns to the media and the public.

I'm not sure how it is in France where you live, but this is the penalty for the crime here.
