There's a lot of historical precedence for freeing colonies from the control of the Old World colonial powers.

Greenlanders should be the captains of their own ship, and if they want to end colonial rule and join a free nation like the USA, they should have that option.

The Danish PM agrees:

On Wednesday, Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen said that she spoke to President-elect Donald Trump and explained “it is up to Greenland itself to make a decision on independence.”

Interesting. So, who do we pay off, Denmark or the 56,000 men, women and children in Greenland? Is it as simple as money talks and islanders walk, after all?

I don't know, I think it's more likely he works out a land lease deal and agreements to put a couple bases in there.
We already have a space force base there. Greenland has been on the US acquisition radar for over a century. Looks like we may have another "Seward's Folly" on the horizon. I think it might be a good move.

Like Hawaii and Puerto Rico, maybe Greenlanders would like to be Americans. LOL, we could send all of those wonderful illegal immigrants that you and the democrats welcomed in to the vast northern reaches of Greenland.

Interesting I didn't know we had Space Force bases overseas. Probably won't be enough to protect our interests if get Lithium mining and processing over there tho.

You should read more and think partisan bs, less. I have been calling out the Biden admin on immigration bs, since day two of his administration. It's really my only big kick against Joe.

Hmmmm. Fly them to Greenland to work the new mines.:dig:

Maybe you should be partisan less. Your Biden love affair has colored any impartiality that you claim.

So, you were just BSing about sending the illegals to Greenland. You don't really believe it.

Perhaps you are a closet liberal.

Greenlanders need to decide if they want to be free of their colonizers.
Sounds like the Danish PM, said they were free to, to me. If Denmark not totally opposed, Don could actually be on to something, and could make it very good for Greenlanders if they too were receptive, and of course.

Naw, that would be you. Try some introspection.
OK. It was your idea to send the illegals to Greenland (I assume, if trump could strike an amicable deal with the Greenlanders), what is your objection to a possible trump deal? If he strikes a deal, they will need labor. Have you emailed the trump administration to register your complaint against a Greenland deal, that might secure access to proven reserves of precious metals, not being mined? You simply prefer present US states be forced to allow the mining, right here on this continent, whether negative impacts to people and communities or not? What? What exactly is wrong with a Trump deal that does this and supplies jobs not being filled by present Americans, at the same time? I actually thought you were a Trump supporter.
