What they don't understand is that it really isn't granting them more power, or influence, especially when they take advantage of using China's promise of next to nothing manufacturing costs, comes with a total surrender of their own proprietary information...

The only real answer, that no one wants to embrace is to totally isolate China. American companies need to divest from them, pull their factories back to America, and stop all Chinese made goods from being sold in America.

Labor costs have very little to do with China's success. They help a great deal but Labor is hardly even in the top 5 reasons China is successful.

The Number one, numero uno, #1 reason is our own incompetence and greed. Both our manufacturers and our Unions. Number two #2 is the insurmountable rules and regulations imposed on Companies by people who have nothing better to do than to get in the way. The biggest offender is the filthy, disgusting, despicable EPA, the home for every communist fuckwad in the Country.

When the Chinese want to build a factory, know what? They build a GODDAM Factory. Try that in this Country.

When I got out of the Army, many years ago, I was hired on at Republic Steel as a Security Guard. It was all they had. communists, aka; the dimocrap scum party, were in the process of murdering the steel industry. Over 300,000 (Three Hundred Thousand) Jobs were lost. So I was grateful for a job.

This not about me but part of my job was to walk through the Corporate Offices after closing time just to check on things. Routine.

So I walk into the Executive Vice President's Office and I hear something, I hear a man sobbing softly. I didn't know WTF was going on so I reach for my Service Weapon, a loaded .38 Special and ask him, "Sir, are you okay?" Startled the shit out of him. He sat bolt upright and said yeah, he was fine. I told him good, but I have to look around. He understood and while I was checking he started talking. When the Executive Vice President starts talking, you don't tell him to hush up. So he starts telling me about how he just got back from a meeting with the Steelworkers Union and it didn't go well. He told them, we have to modernize. The Japanese are kicking our asses, using electric furnaces, new this new that (I didn't understand so I nodded my head like a bobble-head doll and kept quiet)

Thye gist of it was, The Union told him that if he did modernize, they would strike and shut the Factory down. He said he promised no one would lose their job, there would be no reduction in workforce at all. No way. Willing to put it in writing, sign a contract. He said if we didn't do it, Republic would have to close up. The Union people didn't care...... You modernize, we close you down.

Republic Steel essentially, no longer exists. 50,000 (Fifty Thousand) Jobs. Gone. Never to return.

And you need to understand something people, Unions pull this shit all the time. Don't know why and, frankly, don't care. But they do.

So don't blame China. China is taking advantage of our own stupidity and greed. Mostly Stupidity. And scumbaggery. Greedy people don't kill the source of their income, scumbags do. dimocrap scumbags. Taiwan's natives were Japanese, and hated the invasion of the corrupt Chang Kai Shek dictatorship.
The dictatorship of Taiwan prevented elections until 1991, when Lee Teng-hue simply declared Taiwan to start having elections.

And no, capitalism has never defeated communism because communism is better for the majority. Only the wealthy elite like the unfair division of capitalism.
Capitalism lost in China, Korea, Vietnam, Cuba, etc.

Reagan did not "win" the cold war, but he just convinced Gorbachev to dismantle the Soviet Union because it cost too much.
But Reagan did that by pretending to weaponize space with SDI, which is illegal.

Russia never "nuked" anyone.
It is only the US that used evil and illegal weapons like that.
The eastern block was bought off and Russia was happy to see them go because it saved them money.
The Berlin Wall was because after east German students graduated, they would get jobs that paid 3 times more in the west.
After Russia tore down the Berlin wall, then students had to pay their own tuition in all of Germany.

It was Nixon who made China wealthy, and there is nothing Reagan did or could have done about it.
