From what I'm seeing, as a person who would prefer the Ukraine to win and Putin to get hauled in front of the International Criminal Court, is that Russia is suffering, its economy isn't doing well, but it still has reserves of people who could be soldiers, not that many, but more than the Ukraine which is clinging on for dear life.

Russia has a population 4 times larger than the Ukraine's and it's using North Korean soldiers, which gives it an advantage... if it can keep getting more.

At the rate Russia has been "advancing " they will take 100 years to conquer Ukraine (not the Ukraine).

It's very difficult to dislodge dug in forces. After Russia's unprovoked invasion they gained a foothold by surprise and they got dug in. The US gave Ukraine an intelligence warning and the Russians were stopped far short of occupying the entire country. After three years the lines are little changed other than Ukraine's own surprise invasion into Kursk were they have dug in and have proven difficult to dislodge
The reality for the invading force is that if you're not winning...you're losing.
