Trump's victory was slim in 2024. More people did not vote than they voted for either candidate. None of the above 80 million. , trump 78 million and Kamala 75 million. It's even slimmer now. Social issues have won and lose positions . They advanced under the Democrats ( probably too far ) they were overcorrected by the republicans , next will be the compromise. If we had a functional government with any sense of continuity we could avoid this back and forth motion altogether and simply advance. More people are being shortchanged by the system. It will all have to be replaced sooner or later. When only a select few are served by the system it collapses. Hopefully whatever comes next will be better. We need a global conscience if we and the planet are to survive. We must plan our future in order to have one.
