Trump Is Giving Zelensky The Boot

Even the Japanese who commit suicide if they dishonour their people and surrender, knew when enough was enough.

Zelensky has probably been convinced by Europe and some in the military complex to not sign, to have the war continue.

This ensures Russias remains in a state of war economy and Europe will have to send soldiers and money. Putin can win a war of attrition and the chances of China attacking Taiwan, starting WWIII. Then what?

It's time for peace, unless Europe is going to send troops.
I saw Trump pull that stunt. Instead of showing Zelensky we support him, he told him to get lost.

Based on the midgets bullshit today, cut off funding from us today let him go beg European leaders that won’t come through for him really and let him go fight this out on his own. He’ll come begging back soon :-)
Europe will be happy to support Zelensky. Trump fucked up today.

That’s a false comparison.

Japan and Germany were the aggressors that invaded other nations.

Ukraine was a nation invaded by Russia.

Zelensky was in the White House a few minutes ago and he openly said he's not willing to end the war.
He says there is no way he will allow a ceasefire.

So Trump is booting him out the door because he refused to even talk about peace.

Frankly I think he made a massive mistake.

Trump or Zelensky?

BREAKING NEWS: Trump, Zelensky, And JD Vance Have Shocking Explosive Argument In The Oval Office

they both are, Ukraine hasn't got military aid reaffirmed and trump hasn't got his precious "deal".
Have you guys been watching the UN? They voted to help Zelensky. Don't book flights to Ukraine now that Trump made them our enemy.

I think Trump fucked up bigly. We promised Ukraine we would defend them if they gave up their nukes. They did, and now we tell them to **** off.

Not good, America.

Ultimately trump has betrayed Ukraine. I do not and never have approved of NATO expansion which was the goal of the US all along. But the US has a history of decades of expanding NATO eastwards and it's OK for trump to reconsider that but to blame Zelensky for participating in a decades old United States strategy (pursued eagerly by democrats and republicans) is disingenuous and proves that trump cannot be trusted.

Other nations now realize that the United States cannot be trusted and that is doing huge damage to the United States itself.

I see this like the little scrany kid on the block getting repeatedly beaten up by other kids and the big kid on the block saying "Ok, I'll stop them from beating you up, but I want your Nintendo Wi and Sony Playstation."

Ukraine doesn't have much to give. We either defend them or don't. They didn't start this fight. I think the Ukrainians are very brave people. I think about them like our men in WW2. Running into almost certain death to defend their nation. Gotta respect that.

Ukraine wants to dictate how and what help they receive and that doesn’t work when you are in need of help
When I’m bleeding to death I don’t tell the stitcher how to sew me up

Pretty arrogant of Zelensky....He needs to understand that Democrats have NO power in the US Government right now, and that a new Sherriff is in town...One that's not going to let him get away with grifting America anymore....

Yes, war is evil and Russia is the aggressor.

It's always a matter of perspective though isn't it? Think back to all of the wars in the last 50 years.

Japan was the aggressor. Ukraine is the victim here. This is like saying we should have ceded Hawaii.
Not a bad analog except for the fact that we were mighty and able to win. Ukraine? Not so much.

No side which is losing (or likely to lose big in any war) is ever happy about conceding defeat especially when it means a loss of their land. I get that. But when confronted with a complete loss, sometimes it makes a bit of sense to accept a partial loss.

Have you guys been watching the UN? They voted to help Zelensky. Don't book flights to Ukraine now that Trump made them our enemy.
Yes, well the UN's position is nothing more than the collective position of the member states. The "Ukraine victim" card has been played all along and has been the basis of 99% of the news coverage we see in the West.

But Ukraine is just the latest NATO partner in a list of many, the first NATO partner that Russia has stamped on.

The Ukraine war was precipitated by the United States, decades of strategic planning by democrats and republicans.

trump is not handling this well, it is fine for him to want to abandon that decades old NATO strategy but this is not the way to do that, blaming Zelensky? I blame Zelensky too because I've always been opposed to NATO existing let alone expanding. But the president of the country that has been supporting Ukraine for decades cannot blame Zelensky, he has to blame everyone.

Blaming everyone for not seeing things your way is ridiculous.

But trump is not selling this as a strategic change of course regarding NATO, he's trying to make it all about him as some kind of deal maker, he's a fool and is damaging US credibility to the point where few countries will ever trust the US again.
