I have mixed feelings about this. I think Trump is a criminal, and technically this is a crime. OTOH, it's almost like a technicality, and I just wonder if this is the sort of thing that New York's bookkeeping fraud statute was intended to prosecute - in its spirit, this is really more of a federal campaign finance violation than anything else, which should be scrutinized, but by feds, not the state.
I kinda feel like the bigger indictments (January 6th-related) are coming, and those are very, very real crimes if these investigations materialize.
