Trump has to stop lying

If Trump and his acolytes have proven one thing, it's that they do not have to stop lying.

They continue to do so, and no one challenges them save for a small number in the "fake news" media.

He did it yet again, this time about gas and groceries. Trump may well not know the difference between truth and fiction. His prolbme may be mental as well as moral.

"Trump then said that gas prices are "down to $1.98 in many states right now," repeating a claim he made weeks ago and again at least three times in the past week, CNN found. But according to AAA, gas prices have increased since Trump was inaugurated in January.

As of Sunday, the current average price for a gallon of regular gas is $3.17, and no state has an average gas price of $1.98. In fact, GasBuddy, a company that tracks gas prices at more than 150,000 gas stations nationwide, could find no gas station in the country selling gas at that price during the month of April, the company told CBS News. The lowest price they could locate last month was $2.19 per gallon at a Texas gas station.

As for grocery prices, Trump claimed they are down when the Consumer Price Index shows the average cost of groceries rose 0.4 percent in March and 0.2 percent in February, the latest data available. While the White House has said that Trump is talking about prices of some goods, like fresh vegetables, that have recently decreased in price, the prices of other goods like eggs, meats, poultry, and fish all rose in March."

He has no ethics, for sure, but his mental engine is fluttering for sure.

No. He does not have to stop lying. It is the only thing he has going for him. If he quit lying, he would have little to say, which, honestly would not hurt my feelings. He has to lie, and say outrageous bullshit to keep the support and enthusiasm of the MAGA base. He uses new lies, to divert attention from old lies, as well as his deep involvement with the Epstein files, he won't release, due to his repeated involvement. He also has to divert attention from bribing Maxwell to keep quiet, by changing her jailtime to a "Club Fed" minimal security prison, for her crimes against children. So, be glad, his lies about gasoline prices are so easily proven wrong. Pretty hard to get gas prices to drop, in light of the last 6 month decline in US Oil Production.

Yep. Why would he change what he is? If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

And besides, he's busy: He needs to check how many more tens of millions have poured in since yesterday from his crypto coin scam.

We should give Trump credit for his truthfulness?

New chatbot on Trump’s Truth Social platform keeps contradicting him

President Donald Trump and the new AI search tool on his social media network, Truth Social, don’t exactly see eye to eye.

Truth Search AI contradicts the president by saying that tariffs are a tax on Americans, the 2020 election wasn’t stolen, and his family’s cryptocurrency investments pose a potential conflict of interest. Asked about Jan. 6, 2021, it said the “insurrection” at the U.S. Capitol was violent and linked to Trump’s “baseless claims of widespread election fraud.”
